Well update: My plant is a little droopy but growing OK. I think I raised the PH a little my first feeding using the silica and Cal/Mag. I watered with plain water today and my leaves are dark green so I am not sure if I will feed with veg next watering or not. No spots or discoloration on plant just the droopy upper leaves. It almost looks like the plant is a little low on O2 in the soil. I let the soil dry completely on the first inch of soil before I watered and pot was light so? Plant is around 8" tall now so I am thinking it will be around 14 when it finishes and is in its transition between pre flower and budding and has around 15 days of vertical growth left.


What strain it is I don't know, all purple has disappeared after I fed and am thinking it was just asking for Mag. I also leaf tucked 2 fan leaves so the 2 tallest tops can get better light and soon will have to tuck the 2 nodes below it. Still smells like a purple strain but only can smell if you pout your face in it so it is low odor. No skunk, fuel, pine, or sour smell at all yet.


On another note look what I got from work! Will be a few months but it is going to be a future project. Will make a perfect grow box, it is 3/4" plywood and is 16X16X16 outside with 4" legs. I just have to clean it up and might wait tell spring to build on it cuz I think I want to fiberglass the outside of box so I can sand and paint it.

So here is an update... My plant is now around 26 days old and is doing ok with a few small problems.


Problem#1 I had the PH go a little low so after the picture I watered with around 1/2 gal water that had a around 6 drops of Cal/Mag and 7 drops of Silica and about 5 drops of PH up that brought it up to a PH of 8. My run off PH was around 6 using water that was 7. I know the PH up is a little bad but I have used it before and the I did not want to go heavy on the Silica.


Problem#2 I am a little rich on Nitrogen as you can see. The leaf cupping of a few fan leaves, light yellow vanes and dark green leaves are my reason for thinking its high N. There is no yellowing or spotting on any leaves or pest problems yet so all is good. I am surprised it looks high on N cuz it started after my first and only feeding and I only fed with a teaspoon of Veg using Roots Buddha grow.


Problem#3 I think it might be going Herm on me the middle of all tops look like closed flowers to me but I might be wrong, I hope I am. There are no white hairs coming out of the centers like my other grows so I am keeping a close eye on it.


The plant is not in full bud yet as you can see and should start to full bud in another week or so.


The pot this plant is in is a #7 pot which I think is around 3.5 to 4 gal at least that's what it looks like to me. I will have to measure it so I know for sure. The larger pot has made the biggest change in my grow second is the pearlite added to my soil. I will never grow in a small 1 or 2 gallon pot again.

Yup I checked my pots and found a sticker that says 12.4L so there a little smaller than 3.3 Gal. The guy I got them from told me they were bigger and I argued with him cuz they didn't look as large as 5 or 6 gal buckets to me, he swore they were 5 gal. I will have to get some larger pots for my photos I have going cuz I want 5 gallon for sure for them. I might get 5 or 6 gallon buckets from Walmart to use cuz there way cheaper than pots. My last grow was in a 2.1 gal pot and although it went good it could have been better if I would have used a larger pot. If you got the space and are using soil, step up your pots size.


I have other stuff going rite now also that I started around the 20th or so after my cat killed the other plants that I will start a journal on when I transplant them in around 2 weeks. There are some MI5 some Purple Kush Auto and 2 Photo plants, cotton candy and Green crack. I had to start one Purple kush late cuz my cat again knocked a plant over and I thought it was going to die and started another but it lived so I might have 2 and I killed my 8 Ball Kush trying to take off the seed shell after the plant broke the surface and started the Cotton candy late. The Cotton candy was started around the 20th and one Purple Kush like 2 days ago. The first Purple Kush even though it got knocked over and up rooted it is alive and doing OK so I hope I can use it as a mother plant cuz the color they produce is amazing and the size of the plants are great. My 2 plants of Purple Kush have got around 24" tall and produced a little over 1 oz in less than ideal conditions.

Thanks KUDO I have thought about trying to use sunshine mix #4 mixed with a little Lime, using GE nutes and cal mag. I have been trying to grow with soil for around 2-3 years now and am still making mistake's LOL. Its easy to F**K shit up. The problems with this grow are small and easy unless it is herm... My last grow went herm on me. My grow room has no light leaks so I think if it dose turn herm it will be because of my plant had low PH but who knows. I hope it turns out normal cuz it is growing good and I am happy with its size.

So my plant is now at day 28 and in full bud at around 17" tall and around 22-23" wide. I don't know if you can see the purple forming in the buds from the picture but there is pink, reds and purple forming on buds now. I also took a picture of a bud so you all can see the middle as all my buds have what looks like male flowers in the middle of every one. Usually my plants throw white hairs out the middle and this one looks like a flower in the middle. I don't what to kill it yet but I have a crop about a week old for pollen and other mothers and don't want to contaminate my room, What do you guys think? I also have 2 clones in the background, a Permafrost and Ace of spades.

Well grow over for this plant. I had to kill it cuz it was a herm so sad. I have some other stuff going behind this one so I guess if things start get good I will post the progress. At least it was growing good. I have my soil, pot size, pest control and feeding down so at least it died healthy and not because I messed my grow up. Wen my other autos start to throw pollen (If I end up with a good male and female) I will put up another grow. Will also post my photos when they start to get exciting. I think my Ace of spades clone is going to be a fun grow

About 20 yrs ago I made a grow box out of half inch plywood on 4" legs like yours. I was 2.5 ft wide by 4 ft long with no top and painted flat white inside. One long side was hinged so I could swing it open to attend to the plants. No overhead lights just floro shop lights mounted vertically inside. worked good. Good luck with yours
