I recently got 3 new 105 watt CFL bulbs that I want to add to my grow tent during flowering. I'm currently running a 2015 270w FSF Lighthouse BlackStar Chrome and am wondering if the CFL's will overpower the LED's when ran together as the CFL wattage will overpower the blackstar LED. BTW the CFL's are flowering 2700k. I'm not sure if mixing the lights together will cause any problems. I'd appreciate any and all feedback. Thx AFNers!!! :tiphat::peace:

Hi Densemob, yeah, no issue mixing light types. I would add the CFLs as side lighting once plants are in full bloom.

I had 20 bulbs at 23w each at 2700k with my 450w led (round 300 actual watts) in like a 3x6 area and my girls loved it. Didnt even have a reflector on my cfls, used white sheets lol. Love cfls. I use the lower watts and lots of bulbs and spread the light out but ive seen lots of folks buy the big bulbs and havent seen any complaints.

Right! They are going in as soon as flowering begins! Thx all :Cool bud:

2015-03-03-01-14-17-1642892884.jpegGreat choice adding the cfl as sidelighting... I use the cheap clamping shoplights with relectors and rig post on the outside to project the light into the side of the plant with great results

what about adding blue cfls during veg with the led? already got the 2700k thought adding a couple couldnt hurt so im now considering getting 2 105watt in blue spectrum in hopes it will improve stretch during veg etc. thx all! :weed:
