Old Reviews Molasses Question

It is a process when manufacting sugar from cane. Blackstrap molasses, or simply blackstrap, is the dark, viscous molasses remaining after maximum extraction of sugar from raw sugar cane.

Any health shop should have it, big supermarkets may have it too. Where I am, Coles has a jar for $7 that is enough for several grows. Just ensure you choose the unsulphured version. I find it makes the buds more sweet/tasty. Some say it helps with root growth. The molasses are carbohydrates that microbes in the soil thrive on.

There is also a powdered blackstrap molasses to try, without the mess or sticky stuff to deal with. Its called VivaStrap. Easy to use and it works just as well as the liquid! There are several brands to choose from on Amazom.

I dunno, to me molasses is microbe food but i think it has some Cal & Mag in it. You could make CalPhos from eggshells & vinegar but that would take about 20 days to become CalPhos solution.
