Live Stoner Chat More cobs?

If ya wanna go BONKERS, get a 2700 or 3000k 1825 Citizen for smack dab in the middle. Run it at about 100w and don't use any kind of reflector. The 1825s have a REAL wide footprint that is about perfect for a 4x4 tent as a chandelier. I firmly believe you get tighter nugs with a little down low helper in the orangies. I love the 1818s....and I have 9 of em here on Mean Well power, but these 1825s are just insane.

Oh I definitely want to go bonkers ... thanks!

I can’t find this light. I found some kits but I’m looking for plug and play

No "plug and play" but if ya need a hand, I can help ya get the right stuff. There is literally 2 wires to hook up, one on each side of the COB. Get a MechaTronix heat sink....the COB and holder mount directly to that with some M3 screws that are included. Cake. Hang that off a rope ratchet in the center of the tent and get an appropriate driver....you can even use the HBG series like the autokaaahbs do and keep it tight. Get a couple Wago type reusable connectors to attach the wire. It's cake if ya get the right parts and just hang it off the heatsink on a rope ratchet. To each their own, but it's really only 1/10 difficulty, and plenty of help around here. Not to mention, like you said nobody even makes that, so if ya want one ya gotta do it that way. Hit me up if ya got any questions, but a single KAAAAHB on one driver is quite simple, so don't feel it's out of the realm of possibility.

Well I may just take you up on that @Dr.Bubbles - thanks for the offer. Gonna mill it over and see how brave I’m feeling. Cool!

Think back to 1st grade making a light bulb light up with a battery and a pair of wires. Same thing. And these Wago connectors make anyone able to connect two wires without knowing any techniques. Tools needed will be a Phillips/flat head screwdriver and a $5 wire stripper from Amazon. A meter isn't a bad idea but to hook up a pair or wires, either it lights or it don't...lol.

Seems many ppl still love COBs. Instead of spending $100++ on a citizen cob for less than 100W most of the time, why not consider the below? I am almost 99% certain they will outperform any single Cob below 100W. And oh my! The amount of light you can output for this is crazy! Depends on how many you use, drivers used could be different!

Dollars for price wise is one of the best i ever seen! Spectrum is beautiful for all stages and it works like a COB! You will need a good distance, which is why i prefer cobs less these days!

Get this and read around GC for some VERY good post on this light! If I grow in tents, I'll be grabbing these by bunches!

I’m afraid these are way too complicated for me to put together. I might just get a couple more cobs, I just hang em and plug em in. Thanks for the ideas though. I appreciate it.

You only need to play with connectors like the post above my last one. But its merely a suggestion! Have fun!

So would I add 2 of these, or just one in the 4x4. If 2, Which of these would I pick?

TWO QB 96 ELITE V2 IN SERIES
  • HLG-320H-C2800
  • HLG-240H-C2100
  • HLG-185H-C1400
  • HLG-120H-C1050
  • ELG-240-C2100, ELG-200-C1750, ELG-300-M for 200+ VAC only
What else would I need for tools or parts?

Maybe email customer service, tell them your tent size and the light you want? They would know way more than me. I don't even own one. Just been following it since they came out. Reviews have been stellar. China has not knocked them off yet, or I'd just get a pair for the heck of it! Fyi, im not affiliated.
