My last grow was outdoors then bringing them in at night for supplemental lighting for the remaining hours of the light cycle.
It works quite well as nothing beats the sun for lumens and spectrum.
All the advice given so far is spot on.
On hot days be prepared for multiple waterings and get to know the weights of your pots by feel, for the difference between dry and wet.
