Lighting ms0004 and verticle space???

Well I have been reall impressed with all the great crops under grow northern and im now concidering a purchase!

My issue is verticle space .... i have 48" in total and would like to know how close you can get. i have only got short strains 50-70cm tall and plan to lst a bit.

thanjs for that, i have allready been through that thread and i do understand that 12" is minimum in flower and 18 in veg.

if i cant get that space can i boost up cal mag to compensate?

I've have a MS0006 as close as 8 inches before with no problems if you do see problems such as bleaching you can always cut the daylight hours back so your plants get more rest.

I know nothing about these LEDs but if theyre anything like my unit then no, you have to keep a respectable distance between plants and LEDs, I keep my lights at 18'' in flowering and 24'' in veg, any closer and I get scorched leaf tips.
Cal/mag is usually needed in LED grows as the lower temperature messes up cal/mag uptake somehow, my grow room temperatures are always above 27C 80F so I dont get cal/mag issues.
Upping the dosage to cope with the plants being closer/hotter would not have the effect you desire, you use it for too little heat, not too much.
Plan to lst a lot buddy but its cool, we all do it when we run out of headroom.

Edit: having just seen Tangs reply, as he has experience of these units you can disregard what I said about safe distances from plants, our units clearly differ.

8" gives me about 3 foot below so we shall see how good lst work i doo!
