Hey Alan I have a question for ya. A while back you and I had a debate about Cocos nutrient holding ability and we came to the conclusion that it really does not seem to hold them for long at all. Something I've proven time and time again since I've gone to straight coco. Agreed?
So if is does not hold nutrients like soil should we be doing the final cleanse like its soil? Does it really need a 10 to 15 day cleanse/flush?

I am beginning to think nutes need to be stopped when trichs look near the stage one wants. Then straight water for a least a week and I think two weeks for some plants.

The KVS is still green (barring mag def.), for the most part, after a week of distilled. Rebel seems to have gotten his to start yellowing. I was going to ask him a few minutes ago, but, he is busy updating; I did not want to disrupt his flow.

2. The slow one. Put the lamp down a bit--of course it grew--ignored the threat--:twist:. H in, maybe, 10 days to two weeks. Not much trich coverage on leaves. Pistils mostly white beginning to retract ever so slowly. Some flower trichs are cloudy! Very little yellowing beyond the mag issue. Lower leaf or two look a tad yellow. Had the Canna booster without cal/mag for two weeks and is on distilled water for a week. No N-P-K formula for well over three weeks.

Doobie. The left one is a 3 gallon coco pot from a week or two ago, and the other a fabric from about the same time. Photographed to show how well the fabric keeps the roots from binding.

So, I may just use the fabric. They really get bound in the plastic. But, support becomes necessary when using the fabric pots.

I have always liked the strong lemon/pine--the one that hits you when opening the dispensary door, e.g. the OGs. and Lemon Skunk. The WW's aroma is new to me. Tonight, the floral with a spicy under tone. Eager to have someone try it as a first impression.

<--- Yes! And I'm ready for some of that too, as it's been many months since I've had anything with such intense citrusy aromatics,.... It makes me pine deeply for this incredible grow of Agent Orange I got almost a year ago! Alan, without exaggeration, the true orange aroma of this grow was unrecognizable as MJ,... most people doing the blindfold test said "orange candy--Yumm"... I've had it only twice before, neither were even close, including potency! Another I'm hoping to see again this year from the same place is Pineapple Thai; outdoor grow, crusty with resin, dull to look at, but the intensity of this artificial Pineapple aroma, plus other background, overpowered nuances, was some of the strongest I had to date! ...*sigh* when it rains,.... LOL!- Now, it's a citrus drought! I was hoping the Crm. Mandarine would have some, but not this time,... :smoke:

It has been fun. I learned a great deal per coco and improved my gardening skills. And it was my first big tent, so, the perspective was panoramic. Makes a big difference.

Now, I am gearing up again. Told Hereb4, last week, I was not enthused about a new start. Biting at the bit now. Only three in big tent and one in the small tent with the BS240. Lots of seed choices.

LED's,... interesting, and amazing,... Alan, how hot do they run? I imagine LED's are the coolest light source out there, but there's some wattage going there, regardless! *** That Olive oil! Did you do a dilution as planned? It must have really dropped the hammer on you, for you to even mentioned so! I sure hope it's clearly marked and away from the kitchen! LOL! Waira--We have discussed caring for parents. I would like to write a funny short story about taking care (actually her valet) of mom full time and assisting dad intermittently. Rewarding like switching roles. Good memories for me and the comical aspects. However, my mom was a hand full--a character with lots of energy.

Waira. You didn't miss anything here. Holding pattern for one plant. Not growing the PPV. Think it will be fun to watch a "master" grow this strain--first.

I would characterize the KVS as "recalcitrant." "She had best not be thinkin about young ones."

Would a night or two under the star with the ground squirrels get her attention.

The Pandora is going to be a long cure. Picking up some spicy notes.

The LED I have is passive, no fans etc. A different design then most and it produces minimal heat. I believe the PAR reading is more important then watts. Explains why they say a 300w = a 600w lamp.
