2. Some type of light coloured dusty/salty deposits on top of coir and what's looks like algae however medium has never been wet for longer than 36hrs give or take.

-- looks like heavy P defc. to me,... two thimngs need to be figured: in-pot pH, or a solid read of run-off, and ditto for ppm's.... Also your feed/input pH and ppm's... Oh, and for your water! Deposits like that smack of hard water mineral build-up, drives pH up, add's unusable ppm load that can screw with uptake of other nutes.... We need to figure if this is a pH related defc., lack of defc., and/or problem related to the water....
