Mushroom expiriments

So a bit of an update I have a experiment that I have going interesting that it worked lol, so after harvesting some mushrooms I chopped off the vermiculite covered bottoms and thru them on a piece of paper I left it for 2days maybe 3 then I birthed a tub and had like 1lb of substrate left in the bag so I threw in all the bottoms ect plus like 5 single grains well it fully colonized the substrate so I proceeded to put it to fruit and low and behold it's actually pushing out fruit it's really interesting.
I also just looked @ the pink oysters and lions mane and there pinning so won't be long now till I can chop the first flush I'm excited.
Also ran another experiment I took a cake that has produced 2 flushes I tried for a 3rd it did start showing primordia but wouldn't continue to pins so I flipped it over for 4 days trying to see if I could get the bottom to pin well I open it the other day and had a mushroom growing from the top which was now the bottom so I pulled it out and flipped it over and to my surprise there were pins all over in comparison and today I pulled these

hahahaha! those pink oyster bags make you look like a serial killer. "this is my bag of finger and hands" lol
seriously though, great jeorb. i hope to one day play with as many mushrooms
oh, and since you are using 'used' stuff, keep an eye out for anything that looks like mold growing in/on your stuff. they will release spores and cause a build up of them in your grow area.

Ya the experiments are kept a watchful and I'm honestly surprised I haven't contaminated the first 1s and 1 is at the 4th flush I honestly figured I would have more failures lol especially bc my cannabis is in same room but I have filters and tape every crack bc fungus nats will come 100% and if the get in the carry a specific mold that will contaminate bc of, so I'm being vigilant with wat I can also picking a mushroom before the veil tears is also key to lowering/eliminating spore load.

Just harvested the first of the 5th flush of these burma it's amazing I've had these for along time and they just keep flushing it's really crazy

This is a tub of 4 uncle bens bags inoculated with agar transfers and variety is Mazatek

this is 48hrs after spawning to bulk.

watched some folks inoculate oak logs with shitake sawdust spawn. small oak, 4-6 in. diameter is cut down during the winter. this ensures highest concentration of nutrients in the wood. logs of 3 to 4 feet in length are cut. small shallow holes are drilled all over the log and filled with spawn and then the holes and log ends are covered in wax. put em on the ground in a shady spot and wait bout a year. then they are stacked like linkin-logs for fruiting. guy put em near a pond so they could be dunked if they dry out.
gotta try this. the year and a half or so is a while to wait, but once it got going... hot damn. i envision something like thisView attachment 1281906
at that point i'd stop eating meat for protein and just get it from mushrooms

Ya it's very cool I actually ate some of the Lions mane it wasn't sea food like after cooking I can't say quite wat it taste like lol but it actually really good and obviously good for you I've since made 2 different types of mushroom capsules with .3g in one .5g in the others which I plan to start taking for sure on a everyday schedule

This is Lusistic Treasure Coast I was give unknown if it's clone or a multi spore syringe but I cloned it and don't remember if I had done a transfer or not but that don't matter it's my first agar to grain transfer and now I can fruit it so crazy I was able to do it and I really can't believe it worked! Anyways I'm excited I really didn't think it would work but it looks really good.
