New Grower MY 3

Some more pictures taken a few moments ago of my grow. The Pandora doesn't seem to be doing nothing. I suspect the caramel and the White-berry are both in pre-flower. The berry is looking great. ill defo be growing another one of those. I ordered a hobby CFL reflector and a Red 125w CFL bulb and some Bio bizz bloom. to add to the flowering cycle that i think is shortly upon the caramel and berry.

Not sure what to do with the Pandora though, Maybe ill just bin it.

Well to my amazement. I got my Relector + bulb and bio bizz bloom. I ordered yesterday morning and got a knock on the door from the courier 20 mins ago. Thank-you Growell.

I am wowed at how big the Reflector and 125w CFL bulb is. I wish i had ordered those things to hold the reflector up.

Anyone know what i can use as an alternative to those Ezi-Roll Light Hangers ?

The ezi roll hangers are garbage,iv used them and one failed and left my led hanging in a dodgy position lol rope ratchets are really good and very strong,or some good old chain will do the trick too :smokebuds:

Thanks for the thumbs down on the hangers. I got 2 x 1 metre lengths of chain and some little metal things shaped like an S and some screws with hoops on the end.

I'm wanting to go and hang up my light right now but the ladies as everyone calls em are sleeping from 5 till 9 :(

That chain will be sweet for your light :smokebuds: and I know how it is when you get new equipment, you just wanna put it into action :jump: only 3 hours to wait and your ladies will be basking under a new light and reflector :D

Looking good. Couple of suggestions for you...

Get some pliers and once you have the S hooks in the reflector, bend the ends so they cant be bumped out, i managed to knock one side of a light off before decapitating a couple of plants. The tin foil you are using on the walls isn't a good idea, it can create hot spots on your plants burning holes in them. next time yer getting stuff from growell, look at their sheeting and see if the have diamond reflective mylar.

Hey hey Pandora :smokebuds:

Congrats on the new light setup, your ladies will love you for it!! Can't wait to see it in action.

Quick question, do you know what the pH of your soil is?

My thoughts with the chain. how do i shorten it in order to hang the reflector at the correct height. that's if especially the whiteberry grows any taller.

Im also thinking about hitting a 18.6 instead of the 20/4. im worried in the rise in electric that the new light may consume.

That's a good idea riz, ill get some pliers although i doubt ill have enough strength to compress them lol....i read a book by mel thomas (european cannabis cultivation) he stated that if foil is used then foil should be applied shiny side facing the wall to avoid hot spots. so thats why i decided on the foil....But i also read that foil can be dangerous. so ill take your advice and get some of that diamond sheeting.

Sadly i don't know what the ph is KindredSpirit. im trying to stay away from the ph to the humidity levels to the carbon filters even the nutes. thats where it starts getting complicated for me :(

i got that bio bizz bloom but i dont know where to start with it. im scared in-case i ruin my grow by adding too much.

Now im going to go and install my reflector. i really could do with a man to help me out.

With the chain you don't need to shorten it,just move it up or down a link to your desired hieght and hook it on to the S shaped hook  and 18/6 or 20/4 will work fine.i liked to run mine 20/4 as the temps would drop when the lights were out and having 6 hours of dark ment my tent got pretty cold, either is good though.
I see yr using biobizz bloom but I'd suggest grabbing the smallest bottle of biobizz grow too (500ml for about a fiver ) on the biobizz site there now advising to use the grow nutes for the whole grow and introduce some bloom feed around week 5 of the grow.its very easy to use and because its organic it hard to burn the girls.start out at say,1-2 ml per litre of water and gradually build up to 4-5ml per litre.iv seen growers going up to 10-15 ml per litre, but i always play safe and use less nutes but I feed more often :booya: if you need any help with ph just ask as it can become an issue pretty quick.next time your out in the supermarket grab some black treacle, this is a great organic source of calcium which is a common deficiency, and from the chemist grab some Epsom, this is for any magnesium deficiency, also pretty common.both these are dirt cheap any easy to get hold of and will come in very handy.even without any deficiencys I use the black treacle mixed with water as a feed, the girls love it :smoke:
