Harvest & Curing My dilemma..... Need help

So I just finished with my grow of 2 Royal Queen northern lights, and I'm almost coming up on 3 weeks of curing. I grew in soil, followed tangs feeding schedule with advanced nutes, and everything was done right down to the T, as I believe lol. They went a full 90 days, most of my pistils were curled and colorful, 50% of my trichomes were cloudy, and I cut them down and trimmed to perfection. They dried for 4 days hanging upside down, and from there they've been in one quart jars curing. I've been burping them and the humidity is now at 62% in 17 days. They look amazing! My issue is with the smell. It's starting to pop and have that fresh aroma, but not it should I think. Kinda has that hay/grassy/earthy smell. It gets a tad bit better everyday, but I know they should be way smellier in a good way. Any suggestions or ideas?
 
After jarring with a Boveda humidity pack, I put them in a cold/dry box and burp from there.
 
hey bro, sounds like you done everything bang on, so only other conclusion is your weed is just gonna take a little longer to get better, curing ends at 55% but with some strains doesn't mean your going to get that taste straight away,
ive had some strains that tasted nice within 1 month, some taste like shit for 2 months, 3 months is about what I have to wait to get a really nice taste and buzz, killer waiting tho, always the same, ive hit it so much by the time it gets really really good Ive only got a little bit left, i really got to show more restraint lol.
but just for an example. Humboldts Lemon Juice Express Auto, my mate grew quite a lot of that at different times, all grown, dried and cured as you should, left it 1 month, tried it, tasted like lawn. throat burn the lot. so we basically caned it in cooking etc.. but...for a little bit i had stashed away in my emergency tin. lol.
well, found that the other day and thought id try it,. OMG it was lovely!! tasted the works, kicked my head in and left me spinning out, on the verge of greening out, if it weren't for a handy can of cola i would of been a goner lol.
worked out it was over 3 months old. gutted we were, lesson learned, but having the patience is soooo hard. lol.
just hang in there bro, don't give up on it.
 
just for another bit of info, im smoking a bit of black cream now, jarred on the 25th Jan, <i now label the jars cos its a head doer trying to remember how old stuff is>
and its only just starting to taste nice. I did think maybe it was the grow, not rinsed properly or something but i read on here the other day some other dude saying he was tucking into his black cream that had been curing for 6 months!
now that is patience, ive caned mine,. lol. again... lol
