Indoor My ETD saga

Quick update. 2 of the ET seedlings have been potted, watered with an extremely light dose of liquid humic acid and water. These 2 have already been placed in the tent near the front corners to get their grow on. I will get the 3rd seedling into a pot later today and it will head into the tent. Seedling #4 is still standing so for now I will let it be, it must gain some size quickly if it wants to have a spot in my tent.

I also did a quick weight on the ET that is now in a jar, 11 or 12 grams was the total. Extremely light, but again, harvested early. It will be interesting to see the difference between this and the next one to come down. These first 2 ET Dragons were pretty close in size, so the difference in 10 extra days of growth will be apparent. The largest ET will be allowed to run to 75 days and should provide a decent benchmark weight for future improvement.

And I have some more observations on the effect of ETD vapor. As I have said previously, I do not have chronic pain, or other ailments which might be helped by medicating with ET. I am a recreational user who just happens to have a wife with a cancer that will require constant chemotherapy to keep her alive. Unless we can unlock the healing power of weed through the use of Rick Simpson's Oil. To date, the only aspect of medical marijuana that we have found beneficial is its ability to induce quality sleep. After my first ETD grow, my wife would just tell me to load "Sleepweed" for her at bed time. (Her affectionate name for ET Dragon vapes)
When harvested at 55days and with no cure of the buds, this does not have the sleep effects that we want. As previously mentioned, I do like the effect but it does pass fairly quickly, and just does not have the punch I enjoy.. My preference is a kick in the butt that puts me in a stupor in the eavening, and something that just leaves me able to walk and talk during the day. So we will wait and see what a little cure will do and see what 65days and a cure gives us.

Alrighty, lets do a little update. Day 11 we'll call it for the newest batch of ET's. The 3 survivors are all in pots and resting around the perimeter of the tent soaking up the rays. After a few days I will elevate the plants and move them into more direct light. But the saga begins for these 3, I hope there is a male in this trio.

Also another update, on the effects of ETD vapors. I tout the qualities of ET's as I really enjoy it. But lets not forget, it is a great plant for insomnia. Even though the little bit that was harvested has been dried but not cured, it is good for sleep. I have been including ET in the last couple of vapor bowls each night for the last few nights and already I am right back to sleeping through the nite. I have not been getting restful sleep lately as I tend to wake constantly at night. Any strong indica will put me to sleep, just very few that I have identified yet will keep me there. Thankfully ET allows for the knockout and keeps you down for the count. About 7hrs of uninterrupted sleep. Fantastic. Never a hangover, and feel rested and ready.

Update day, and wow lots to report. Not much as far as growth is concerned, the three ET babies have been elevated in the tent and the lights have been dropped closer to the plants. Now that I am actively harvesting, I have the flexibility to shuffle the tent around and rearrange the lights. So right now the 3 ET's are about 12" below the 60x5 LEDs alongside the remaining AKR and GSC.

I have also acquired some additional resources in the quest for a bigger ET Dragon. As some of you may know, The ET is the result of a LaBella Aphrodite crossed to a Frost Dragon male. I currently have seeds for LaBella, Frost dragon, ET F1 and ET F2. With this stock as a beginning anything is possible. I need a couple of seed runs for breeding stock, and I need to brush up on my genetics/breeding knowledge, then its off to the races.

I was also late in harvesting ET #2, which was supposed to be chopped at day 65, and actually fell this morning. She yielded 73gms of very sticky buds. Since I have also begun harvesting other strains, this ET might just make it through cure. Now just the final ET from the previous grow is left and she was the largest of the 3 ET's. It will be nice to get an idea for weight as we move forward. For now however, pics of the crashed ET just before the mishap.

its nice to have enough to hold you through a proper cure. I have yet to find a strain that doesn't benefit from a month or 2 cure. excellent looking plants, Tag

Thank you ElSam. It really is easy to grow these things, and as grows come and go, you realize that with time and experience, the nuances become more pronounced, or maybe you just tune in easier. This grow for example, I have noticed that some of my plants have had increased resin production over previous grows. The question then is this the result of increased quantities of BioBud bloom enhancer, or is this the result of the two full spectrum 60x5w Mars Hydro Led's that have been added to the tent? HHMMM!!!! More grows will show the answer.

The 3 ET dragon babies are doing great in the tent under the LED's. I think that tomorrow I will drop 2 or 3 more ET seeds from my original seed run as are these 3 babies. That should give me ample opportunity for males and seeds. But the goal is to only keep seeds from females that exceed 24" in height by finish.

Update and observations time. Current status on the final ET from the last grow, 75 days today and was supposed to get chopped. I looked at the trichs again this morning and just wasn't feeling it. So I have not chopped and instead just pulled it from the tent to rest in the dark room for a couple days then I'll chop.

I was looking at the new batch of ET's this morning and came to the realization that they are all small for their age. If we call nov 12 birthday, we are at day 25 and my little plants are just now starting to grow. I have to wonder if it isn't the rockwool cubes or my handling of my sprouted seedlings. My germination rates have been phenomenal since I shifted to the cubes, virtually 100%, even my veggies pop at a better rate. but all of my plants are small this run and if I remember correctly they were last grow as well. El Alquimista took forever to gain size and put on buds. She is looking better at day 75 and I have left her in tent to finish. But now I have a mystery to solve.

I also have 2 Terrestrial Cheese beans dropped as well and will include them in this grow log as well. The first plant is standing up and the second is just ready to turn upward. so I will transplant soon and the tent will be ready to run.

Update Day 78 final ET Dragon cut day. She has been resting in the dark room where my tent lives since Monday without water. She smelled good this morning, her fan leaves had turned and the buds were stickier than before so I cut her down. Now she is resting in paper bags. Pics will be available shortly.

The new crop of dragons are finally gaining some size and I am looking forward to sexing. The 2 Terrestrial Cheese have both been placed into dirt and are in the tent with little plastic cup humidity domes for now. I will get pics of these guys before this weekend for all to see.

Pics as promised of the final ET From Grow 1.

Quick update here. Put the ET into jars today. 34 grams after 3 days in the bags. My humidity is running about 45% so these things are drying quicker than I would like. This is a base target for my ET development, 1oz per plant as the minimum. The 3 ET's in the tent now are all like 4" tall and are resting at the moment, building root, but they should take off any day now.

The Terrestrial Cheese are also doing well, 1 has added a couple of inches and the 2nd one is just sitting there letting it's first true leaves gain a little size and provide some food for growth. They should start climbing soon as well.
