Well I had to take a gamble, 5 days under a 400w hps without soaking the buckets felt like a bit long. Since I am inexperienced I didn't know what the buckets should weigh. I said to hell with it and pHed some water to 6.5. Oh damn them ladies were thirsty as the buckets were pretty light! Water that came out was 6.2 so I think I am good with my soil pH. The seedling that was still folded, still had a husk holding it shut but a little gentle coaxing helped it out. I can't wait to see them take off =)

I would say you are close.. runoff of 6.2 with a 6.5 in would indicate 6.0 or so... maybe bump it to a 6.8 watering for the next 2 waterings... of course continue to monitor runoff.. :toke:

JM- I will give that a shot adding some higher pH water next time and see what my results are. I think I was doing my math odd and thought my soil pH was 6.3. Looking at it I just quickly said 6.5- 6.2= pH6.3 I will have to really get the math down for runoff pH, or really sugar up the wife and get the soil probe muddy suggested... There is always the winter holiday if nothing else ;)

JM tip - You catch more flies with honey, true, but wives prefer good Maple Syrup. :crying:
