Hello Everyone,

Just started my first grow 4 weeks ago looking to share my progress with everyone. I am going to post some pics in a bit so i can get some input towards a successful harvest. Here r some specs:

medium: pro-mix bx 8-10L per plant
nutes: miracle grow 24-8-16 for veg(1/3 dilution) and miracle grow bloom 15-30-15 for flower
temp: 70-76f
lights: 16 23w CFL's (12 2700k and 4 5000k)
pH: unknown waiting for tester to arrive

Oh yeah the plants lol....4 NL autos form RQS and 3 Blue Mystic from RQS. Again I will get some pics posted shortly and wil continue until harvest. Thanks in advance and Happy Growing

Welcome to the best spot on the net for great info and amazing people(like EP) Your plants look good and healthy no signs of deficencies or stress. The only thing that I think could be improved on in that setup is lights. CFL's will grow cannabis and you can grow it all the way through, however I have seen so many new growers try their hand and growing and use CFL's for varying reasons only to go through 3 or 4 months of painstakingly teadeous care only to get 10 grams dry nug(when they were expecting to see 4 oz's like some of the other grow journals) then never grow again because it didnt seem worth all the effort

I would defintely say to upgrade your lights if your budget allows to a good LED panel or a 400 watt HID, again if your budget allows.

There may be other factors that are not listed as to why you are using CFL's, you obviously have the green thumb talent now all you need is the right equipment and you will be and AFN rockstar!

And I am in no way dogging your setup or saying you are doing anything wrong, just wanting to give advice based on what I see. Sending grea grow Karma your way!

Hi Darkhaven, welcome to AFN. Looks like you are off to a good start. I am a Promix grower as well and find that around week 6 the pH starts to drop as the limestone in the mix gets used up. Just a heads up so you don't end up chasing deficiency problems. You may also want to add a cal/mag supplement as well. If you have very hard water you might be able to get by with just Epsom Salts rather than cal/mag. Happy growing
