I was just going through my journal and thought I would share what it has cost me thus far for my indoor grow room. Currently I am looking at 5 photo Super Skunks that are loaded with buds. Also one photo Kush that is loaded. Also 9 auto short riders that are 7 weeks old. Also 2 auto pounders, 2 candy kush autos and 1 diva auto that I just dropped to germ. All of this is in a 4x5 room. I built a upper tier shelf for my germ space. Sound great I suppose, well it is great. But I am about $800.00 + in the hole at this point. Not counting my electric bill.
1x 600 watt MH/HPS light dimmable 3 settings $230.00
1x inline cooling fan for the light $30.00
Wood to construct the room $50.00 or $60.00
7x light reflectors for 7x 100 watt cfl lights plus bulbs $80.00
Mylar to line the walls and floor $30.00
Flora series trio nutes and PH test kit $35.00
3 or 4 bags of Fox farm soil $60.00
5 Super Skunk photo seeds plus shipping $60.00
5 Kush photo seeds $50.00
10 auto low rider seeds $85.00
5 auto pounders, 5 auto candy kush seeds (plus 3 free diva) $110.00
Heater $59.00
2x fans $40.00
flex pipe to vent $10.00
Plus I had to pay an electrician $150.00 to install bigger breaker.
$60.00 a month for electricity and I probably missed some small stuff on list.
I also built a 4x5 dark room for photo plants. I hope this helps someone when factoring in cost for initial set up. I know dudes on this site have much more tied up in their grow rooms, but this is an example for beginner growing indoors. Peace

Looks good, amazing how this adds up.
I would add some of my costs to compare with yours.

pH and TDS meters $60.00
Smart Pots $25.00
pH up n down, cal n mag, nutes of various and sundry nature... $200.00 YOW!!
My tent was $150.00 but you built your space an it looks close in cost.

My layout is closer to $1000.00 so far. I think it is a great investment. Not only for the end product, but also for the amount of enjoyment growing these beauties. I did not count on that!
It's not really about saving money, although with this it will save some real cash I am sure. I build stereo gear as a hobby and one thing for sure that is not about saving money, the enjoyment of building and listening to your own gear is, and that is very much like growing for me.
