ok guys here we have the smellbox 3000.

What this beauty does is it goes on the end of your exhaust......

essentially you could make this so so much better, but even just having two boxes it works like a treat....

its basically exhaust pipe goes through the large box and into a smaller box inside .

inside the small box are your air freshners like your ona gel, the small box has a few small hole drilled into like some swiss cheese,

the exterior box the one you can see in the picture has loads of holes drilled into small and large...

the idea is the exhaust air travels down the pipe and the air mixes with the smellys inside the small box, the air mixes here and slowly escapes through the small holes in the small box, and then escapes outand goes to the larger box and from he difuses slowly into the atmosphere smelling of your air freshner .

I need to improve it slightly however its working really well, I need more boxes and possible some mesh like on kitchen extractor fans on the exterior box

hope my description makes some sense ... but its awesome

Interesting concept for sure! Although if you have an adequate fan and a decent carbon filter isn't this unnecessary?

Well I got the fan and the carbon filter and this is on the end of it .

my local shop said the fan and filter would do a good job however some smell may remain I'll take some more pics for you guys later of the inside

it's just got a real cheap lavender smelly on the inside and it's working a treat, where the air comes down the tube at a high flow it really hits the smelly and blasts out a fresh smell

the more boxes the better it will work

Obstructing the airflow with boxes etc.will decrease the effectiveness of the carbon filter.to me no smell or a natural smell is favourable to air freshener.i do have a filter and an ona at the door.good luck

You would be better off just standing the ona in front of your exhaust

If you have a quality carbon filter the Smell Box 3000 probably isn't necessary but I'm sure it was fun to make.

I did something similar with a large rubber tote....but I refer to mine as
" the stink box " - : )

I love the fact you went as far as to write "smell box 3000" on the side of the cardboard :Bloody Marvelous..:

Good idea, but like others said, proper carbon filter pared with the proper fan = a non issue

Heck yeah, I was wondering that myself. Budzilla, did you actually make 2999 of these before you settled on the final prototype?

:coffee2:

You could actually instead of Ona, use Apple Pie, or something. Would be a good deterant.
