Lighting My most expensive light yet

I have a few spots set up with them and what's nice is exactly what you said. Taking it down, setting it up and adding where you need more. It may not be in use for some time but quickly finds a home. The list of growers that pulled high yields from a single cob is growing too. Being able to stick it the exact spot and height has such a huge advantage. Inverse square law stuff. Light at distance and how it's intensity rapidly declines. Adjustable cobs don't suffer nearly as much, especially when they are set up differently across different sized plants .

Hahahahah annnnnd this is why you are tha tits, one of the main things is that I am going to have different height plants virtually at all time due to the perpetual setup. So I need to be able to have the cobs closest to the clear panels of my space and my other lights at the back of the space. I think it ill work great.

The DIY is doing amazing. It's dialed way down to 250 watts and covering just over a 3x3. The light can cover a 4x5 space so there is some waste.

I have noticed that on every one of my cob grows, the leaves just go yellow and nothing i do stopped it,this grow i have had my light at least 3ft away from the canopy and only got it half power all grow 100w of my 200w diy light and crossed fingers so far no yellowing i really think its because the cobs are to intense and to close so i am going to keep it 100w all grow and at least 3ft away from my girl then we will see if i am correct.

As we are learning calmag is definitely needed but I am positive there is more to it than just that. I had a journal here with before and after grows with ridiculous amounts of calmag, with it I had the best looking grow to date. Now I think I'm dealing with either a lock out or just low on phosphorus and potassium. At 50% recommend strength I was skepticle about adding more but I did right after a flush. Hopefully it turns because this is one hell of a veg like that picture above.

Really nice @BigSm0 I would bet if you offered custom designs like this on a contract type of deal you would find buyers. Not that you need them with the success of the Autocob!!
I have been thinking a lot about it. I also have pretty much everything to do the bar style lights is in place on a larger scale. What's slowed me down was a guy who wanted me to build him a crazy amount of lights and never came through. That and the 50 new light companies popping up each week. I just saw one the other day, this guy used the same frame as mars hydro, same 2$ cobs from eBay and was selling the 4 cob version for 500 dollars. Talking about par and umoles lol. People are absolutely nuts these days!

Oh man I hear that. I got taken once on a big deal too. That's why I said contractual basis, getting a good down payment really helps prevent. The same for every one out there charging an arm and leg for cheap crap. Quality will show and folks who know value will seek you out.

The cal mag thing. That became important for me, once I realized what it was. I had pretty much gone through everything, pH for lockout, over or under feed or water all that and it came down to temperature management and cal mag. The autocobs have taken care of temps pretty much and knowing about the cal mag I boosted it under the cobs. Things are a bit yellow but still growing nicely. I'll be able to better tell when I do a whole grow with them.

I do hope it's better than expected. Are you getting any tip burn? That's what I'm dealing with now. Slight burn but it also looks like a deficiency. Tough to add more when you see this.
