oooo, vigorous little buggers aren't they! I agree, they're hardly asking for more light,.. yes indeedy it would be fun to see what happens with running one with bloom,.. even with the spill over light, the ones directly under the bloom should show something notable,...
:drool: got some pics of dried peepers FD? I want to see what that yummy sounding Jala' x Tabasco looks like,... what's the flavor like?

I would think that the spill over would see some difference, i have them spaced as best i can so the overlap is close to balanced. So we shall see and with the way that i have things in there i can test each species that way.

The mom looked just like a tabasco, peppers do not show their hyb till next generation. So with these the donor pollen was jalapeno and the mom was tabasco. So her pods this round were slender like a tabasco. We should see more of a hyb this round with the pods. Im not sure what the flavor will be like the mom had smokey tones and the jalapeno was a rather large plant. Simple selections for the F1's

yeah i think that COB is my next move to rid the CFL but it does a great job when it comes to the veggies, no need for the light power until i run canna again. The tents are from Amazon the 2x2 was like 40 or 50 and the 3x3 was like 65

Few updates here, and there is no shock either. @PlatinumLEDTom your lights are kicking ass again

Im really impressed with the way that these lights grow shit, these veggies are running wild with the lighting...So this goes to show that they are more than powerful enough to do both canna and veggies.

So mainly what you see there is Romaine and Spinach under the platinums. The peppers under the CFL are my F1 Cross of Jalapeno x Tabasco. They are the first seed from the Hyb, so ill be looking for good parents.

I will be crossing this hyb back to a jalapeno mom as well as IBL the best looking ones of those 7. I should see some interesting pods this time as they do not express until a generation later.

Little Update, things are rocking along nice.

Peppers are almost ready to get the platinum treatment.

time to start making dressing for that spinach FD! A very nice jump from last update,... did you start the one-side bloom spec' test yet?
Interesting deal with the peppers,.. no news until the F2's! oh man, just talking spicy has my stomach barkin',... might have to do some take-out Thai for dinner tonight :drool:... I don't know much about peppers, what do you think the flavor profile will be like, and the heat? those two kinds are could make something super delish', hopefully not to violent though!

I know taco salads tonight with it actually!! I havent started the spec side test yet because there are some interesting things going on in the tent. Turns out spinach likes to flower like our canna friends. There are male and female plants with them, the only reason i began to look into it was i saw something started on the spinach that i have never seen....it looked like the crown of a male flower from a canna plant....and that is what it was. Turns out the females have pistils too to catch the pollen...im blown away. I knew that there were other plants that needed female and male plants but had no clue on spinach.

I hoping that the flavor profile will be smokey with a bite. and i wouldnt mind a gut burner but i am also looking for flavor to go with my love for grilling.

... *slobber* grilled peppers,...:drool:... yup, pepper lover dilemma, flavor vs pain! I love habanero's flavor, but the heat can be too fierce for me,... The most painful food I've had was a Vindaloo dish... oh man, the taste was sooooo very good and exotic, but the peppers (wonder what kind) were absolutely wearing my ass for a tophat! I had to shower after that meal .... I'm betting you'vre tried Shishito peppers on the grill? Not hot, an occasional warm one, but nice taste.. all basted in butter, grilled, caramelized,...

As you can see these lights will grow anything that you throw under them. This romaine is really taking a liking to the environment as well as the light source. I am still using veg mode and it seems to be more than enough to get the job done.
