Hey guys,

I am new to this board, as Rollitup seems to be totally dead nowadays. Anyway, I am currently growing Dutch Passion's 'Think Different', which is an auto, so I figured I would start a thread here.

Specs:
2'x4'x4' bottom of a big antique trunk.
Lights hanging off of one of the shelves (about a total of 300w of mixed spectrum cfl's)
Home made SCroGs system.
12" fan blowing on the bottoms of lights/tops of plants.
Bio soil meant for organic tomatoes.
Bio-Green 'Grow 1'
Canna 'BioFlores'
Raw Molasses
Mezaral bottled water with 6.7 pH

Started at 20/4, but now switched to 18/6.

This is just my first grow journal on this site, but if anyone has any questions or comments, please feel free to post/ask :)

Planted in the last days of January, so she is at about day 35 from germination.

Let me know what you guys think :D

WOW 35 days? shes looking pretty gnarly man, what CFL's are you actually using, 40w 85w 100w ect ect?
why did you go from 20/4 down to 18/6? going for a photosensitive affect or? anyways looking nice dude!

Hey Budson. I have 11 Osram 23w (8@2700k, 3@5000k) and 1 Phillips 34w @ 2700k.

I am going for the 18/6 because I learned from my past auto grows that buds really beef up in the last weeks if you give them some extra downtime. 4 hours didn't seem to push the most out of my plants. So I veg at 20/4, and then as soon as there are buds forming and a recognizable smell appears, I add an extra hour of darkness per week. And by the time I am at 14/10 or 12/12, the plant is ready for harvest with a massive increase in resin/trich production.

Well thats funny cause i had the same thing in mind thinking the exact same thing i wanted 20/4 then down to 18/6 during flowering, but i locked in 18/6 for now.. thou if its actually worked for you then i might give it a try with my current grow :)

but I have also heard of growers doing 24/0 or 20/4 the entire grow, and then giving a few days of total darkness right before the chop. They say this does the same for increasing resin/trich production as my technique, but i guess it just comes down to doing whatever works for you.

Update from today: image(1).jpeg she's really beefing up nicely. I added Bio Green "Bio Bloom 2" which is a bio 2,9,8 fertilizer which i am using in addition to the Canna "BioFlores". I am using them on alternate waterings, and they seem to be working lovely together. So well, that I couldn't help but start another Think Different under the same exact conditions, but just with a bit bigger of a pot, and I am hoping that this one will get even bigger than the first :) image.jpeg

Looking nice. If you're Iggy Pot then i'll have to jump on board and be a Passenger ;+}

All the best,

steely.

Thanks Steely!

Here's Pics from today. photo.jpgphoto_4.jpgphoto_2.jpgphoto_1.jpgphoto_3.jpg I finally got all but 2 budsites up onto the screen, and she is really filling up nicely.

I got a question for you guys... I have these 2 bottom branches that are blocked by all the foliage, and are super underdeveloped compared to the rest of the plant. DSC_0660.jpg Is it safe to cut them off? Because they are totally not going to be ready by the time I harvest. Any ideas on what to do about this? It IS an auto, so any kind of pruning slows down the flowering process on the rest of the plant from what I have heard... I'd love some feedback.

Also I implemented my "around the pot" LST method on my sprout, and will start using it once she beefs up a bit :) photo_5.jpg

Thanks for checking in :)
