Hi, I'm a first time poster and wanted to share my first experience with Mephisto. I hope this is the correct forum.
Last winter I ordered a mix pack directly from them. The seeds I received looked fresh and healthy, plus they were very generous with extras as well as Skywalker freebies.
I’m an old guy, a long-time grower, but this was only my second go with autos. Last year I grew out some of Budda’s autos, indoors and outdoors, and was impressed. I like the idea of growing autos outdoors because they don’t get conspicuously large and are ready in no time - none of that waiting ‘til October stuff. Plus, the sun is free.
I planted two Skywalkers, four unknown mix, and two Dutch Passion auto Night Queens, in cups. They all sprouted within 48-72 hours, and I kept them under a fluorescent light for 2 weeks before planting them outside. They went directly in holes that I dug and filled with organic soil mix and organic fertilizer pellets. They had good root balls so the transplant was painless. The rest would now be up to Mother Nature.
Well, Mother Nature gave us a record-setting, rainy spring along with many overcast days. The good news is there were enough sunny days that I did get some decent buds, and somehow avoided mold and bud rot. The yield may have suffered and the bag appeal may not be the best, but the taste and potency is excellent. The final tally was 236g of dried buds.
All of them are keepers, one of the mix I’m pretty sure is Sour Crack because it fit Mephisto’s description to a tee. And the Skywalker is top notch. It will be a tough job testing and evaluating the different strains, but someone has to do it. :smoking:
Anyway, I just wanted to publicly compliment Mephisto for their quality products and customer service. They are a first-rate outfit.
BTW, the $15 lemon haze photoperiod seed that I bought from a different breeder didn’t even germinate.
Sorry, the only photos I have are before & after.
