Live Stoner Chat Need advice...I suspect my seeds have been confiscated by customs

Hello AFN peeps-

So, here's the deal: I ordered 3 seeds from Royal Queen Seeds early January, which was my second order, and received an email notice that they were sent out on January 13th. They are going to the southeast US and have yet to arrive. I worry because my first order (November), from the time I dropped my payment in the mail to the time I received my order was 2 weeks- 2 weeks! Super fast.

Now what you should know is I'm a total newbie to the grow and am greener than a plant with too much nitrogen. I did a lot of reading but apparently didn't understand some of it. On my first order, I paid for regular shipping...not stealth. However, when I received my seeds it was indeed disguised by a DVD so it was sent stealth, but by their mistake...again, I didn't pay extra. So, just thinking this was the norm, I didn't pay for stealth on my second order. After week two, from the ship date, I started to wonder what happens if Johnny Law got a hold of them.

Well, after much reading, it would appear that I'm an idiot for not originally understanding what stealth shipping is. I thought it was just added protection for the seeds themselves to ensure that they're not damaged through transit...I didn't know it was to keep your ass out of trouble.

So, it's going on greater than 3 weeks from the ship date and I am now awaiting my "Bad girl" letter from customs. I have only grown one little dwarf plant and am getting ready to harvest (yay!) in the next couple of days. The consensus on most threads I've read about similar situations is:

• Don't send seeds to the grow site
• Consider ditching the grow once you receive the naughty letter

The jury seems to be out on whether or not customs informs your local law enforcement agency. Some say they don't (how would they know?) and some say they might (hence ditching the grow if you end up on local radar).

THIS IS WHERE I NEED ADVICE: 80-90% of threads state to have seeds sent to an alternate address but how do you do that if you don't have anyone to receive it for you? I don't have one person I would feel comfortable asking if I could send seeds to their home.

Some who read this may think I'm being a bit paranoid and, they may be right, but I will always err on the side of safety. I'm going to harvest my beautiful little lady regardless but I am now hesitant to move forward with another grow right now...especially if I can't find an alternate way to get seeds.

Any help with my dilemma would be most welcome.

its alittle un nerving certainly if ya dont know from experience.I myself had an order intercepted but felt pretty good about it since yo date ive yet to hear of someone whom got the norm of the letter about your oder being intercepted and go to Jail for it. most small time ppl such as ourselves shouldnt be too concerned about the standard of sending the letter that your seeds or whatever got intercepted since its the law.Iv not had an issue and noone else has that Im aware of.itrs always worth paying for stealth since its not really just about protection itself..its about shealthing pasty customs as well as a little extra protecting man..so go smoke and get some cash and shell out a good bit of cash for a large order since good shealth aint cheap but it too is WELL worth it. I placed a several hundred dollar order myself a few times with shealth pricing added and it was worth it.

so in short dude..its normal and I wouldnt sweat it man. just dont be careless about your growing n Im betting youll be fine..hell I have em send to my home addy since i have no real choice n still got a letter n nadda..even if theyre looking for something else in fact...trash and goings on..dont give them info which they would need to put a case together.so be cautious n ask prior to doing something yer uncertain of it all man..so go fire one up n relax man.i know as many other do itll be ok..later n happy growing man.

I have had it take a month to get through customs. I was freaking out too then they showed up in the mail.

I had an ordered seized last month and have been waiting a month for a second order.the justice department is prohibited from using federal funds to prosecute MMJ users and the state can't prosecute a legal activity. losing seeds to customs once in a while is just part of the cost of growing. unless you are a large scale commercial grower no one is going to waist time on you.I don't think you have anything to worry about. I have seeds sent to my address because I do not want anyone else to know what im doing.and do not want to get anyone else involved. as long as you are not selling or doing anything to call attention to your self you have nothing to worry about. it is annoying and does delay your grow but thats about it.I am currently re vegging my last crop (photos) because of delays in getting seeds. I still have not had much luck with cloning. (I know im the class dunce even a 1st grader can clone plants but I can't figure out what im doing wrong) but re vegging is an easy process that works well for me. good luck with your grow

Thanks all for the info...I'll just have to wait it out and see what happens I guess. I just checked the mail and the only thing that arrived was a cheap, little digital microscope I ordered off eBay to get a closer look at the trichomes. Still no seeds.

this waiting game can be really annoying.to bad they don't have a pill that would give you patients. am I the only one that feels this war on cannabis is a war against the American people. something is very wrong when a government declares war on its own people.

I've had this happen to me as well. I was freaking out and emailing the people like wtf?!? I even had tracking on mine and the tracking bugged out and never updated. It ended up showing up in my mail box after like 30 days. I couldn't believe it! especially considering the first order I made barely took a week and a half.
