Need Diagnosis - tiny brown flecks on leaves

Some of my seedlings at suffering from something but I don’t have a clue what causes this pattern of tiny brown flecks. I’m hoping someone here can help me out. They’ve been under a 6500k T5 fixture at about 78° with an oscillating fan on them. They’re in a mixture of FoxFarm souls designed to introduce them to bites very slowly. Watered with distilled water and Excelurator Gold root enhancer. They each have siblings that are in identical soil and under the same light with NO issues. Weird.

This is an ILGM White Widow Auto. I’ve had major issues with this batch of seeds. Only about 15-20% will germinate and about 1/2 of those that do are stunted. ULGM has sent out some replacement seeds...finally. I think she may have hit an accidental pocket of full strength Ocean Forest at the bottom of the pot, causing some leaf malformation from being too hot. But that’s not causing those spots, I don’t think.

That looks like a cal mag deficiency to me.. Are you adding any cal mag to the distilled water? Distilled water contains no calcium or magnesium

I have not been adding cal-mag. I have been, occasionally (lately), pH’ing our well water that’s hard - 6 grains. Would that help add/provide the calcium and magnesium or would I be better off adding some cal-mag to the water?

You want your ph to be around 6.5 and yes I would definitely add cal mag when you’re watering.. Some of those leaves look twisted which could be a sign that your ph is off

So, I do t have to worry about giving them TOO much cal-mag by adding cal-mag to the hard water that contains both minerals already? I wasn’t sure if I would burn them by adding it.

Strange how about 20% of my plants show this but the rest look great.

I WAS using just distilled but I’ve started using well water on some plants that are already outside because I’m spending too much on distilled water. The well water has to have the pH lowered because it’s 7.3, which I’m doing; but it’s “hard” water with 6grains of (calcium and magnesium) hardness. So, I’m wondering if I adjust the pH of that well water to 6.5 will that cal/mag that’s in the water then be available to the plants and be sufficient. OR, is the cal-mag you buy somehow different and better?

I get that they have a cal-mag deficiency but I’m looking for the most cost-effective way to fix that and I’m trying to determine if the adjusted well water would be a good one. Also, I’m wondering if you can give them TOO MUCH cal-mag? Like, if I pH the well water AND add some liquid cal-mag product, can I cause other issues for my girls?

Egg shells and Epsom salt would be the best cost effective way, however eggshells take a while to breakdown. Yes you can have too much just like you can have too little. Try just phing your water to see if the cal mag you already have is enough. If the problem continues then you know it's not. I personally would get general hydro cali magic, and add it to every watering,
