ok here's a quick brief of my set up. my tent is 80x80x160cm. currently ive got 2 Pyramid Anesthesia their 2weeks today. and 1 pyramid Auto shark. shes only 5days old from from seed.
my 2 Anwsthesia are in 3 gallon pots and shark is 4 gallon pot staright from seed to soil no transplant. unlike the anesthesia.
currently running them on 300W LED by Mars Hydro (not the 1 with the switch) older model.
also ive got 1 florescent tube 100w and florescent bulb 100w
I noticed that my anesthesia where burning specially the tip of it. crispy burn so I moved the lights higher up and no more burn.
at 2weeks old today my girls don't look big at lengh ill say about 3cm and width wise 10cm.
my question to guys is. am I adding to much light to my girls. should I just leave them under the florescent light and switch LED later on or just run them on LED with out no florescents. also if you guys wanna know my soil type im currently doing a experiment 1 of my girls is just in westland soil only, another is in mixed spoil MG & WestLand soil. Shark is in Westland soil with a tiny tiny bit of MG.
just wanna know if doing this properly. I haven't added no nutes yet. also I did over water in the 1st 12 days. I was watering every 2days now im doing 4-5 checking soil to see if dry or semi dry.
any advice would be greatly appreciated I just wanna know why my girls are so small for 2weeks.
from previous grow I didn't have to take so much care. Autoflowers need a lot of TLC.
has any1 grown anesthesia or shark autos. if so what was the result like, smoke,

Any chance for some pics? Sometimes tbey can be slow starters. And bam....they take off. Sorry, not much help, I'm a fish not a worm.

Welcome to AFN Columbiano :)

:welcome: :welcome: :welcome:

Sounds like a nice setup! :)

I'll see if can help out a bit.

I noticed that my anesthesia where burning specially the tip of it. crispy burn so I moved the lights higher up and no more burn.
Tip burn can often be a sign of over fertilisation and MG soil is notoriously tricky for autos and often advised to avoid it if possible. Good that it's sorted, but just a heads up if you see it again.

at 2weeks old today my girls don't look big at lengh ill say about 3cm and width wise 10cm.
It's quite common for Autos to stay small for a while. I notice they start to really take off after day 30. A picture would help if possible :)

should I just leave them under the florescent light and switch LED later on or just run them on LED with out no florescents.
I wouldn't say you're giving them too much light - the sun is more powerful than our lights are. How high is your LED - I would suggest keeping it around 24 inches from the seedling and leaving it there until it grows to withing 10 inches of the light. Then keep moving the light up as it grow. Keep a 10 inch gap until flowering or until you run out of room :)

also if you guys wanna know my soil type im currently doing a experiment 1 of my girls is just in westland soil only, another is in mixed spoil MG & WestLand soil. Shark is in Westland soil with a tiny tiny bit of MG.
The reason we don't really like MG soil is that the time release nutes are a pain. When we try to flush to fix a problem, the nutes start releasing (which doesn't help our problem!)

I was watering every 2days now im doing 4-5 checking soil to see if dry or semi dry.

During seedling stage it's best to keep the soil moist (not soaked). Wet and dry cycles are a good way for beginners to get good results when the plant has some height and bulk to it (30cm plus). You can pickup the pots to feel the wieght. Water when they are easy to lift.

If you over water - the leaves will look heavy and waterlogged and droop. If you Underwater the plant, the leaves will look limp and droopy and light. The pot will also be light.

Hope some of this helps!
Good luck with the grow!

I posted 3pics I took yesterday morning. gonna take a few more to show you guys today what she looks like.

blue thank you so much for comments that actually did help me a lot. when I moved the lights up I noticed that the burning on both plants had stop. only was the baby in the MG burning but the other 1 in the westland organic soil was aswell. reason for moving the led lights up. ayways my LED LIGHTS are just under a metre from the plants but ive got the florescent tube just hovering over my girl about 10inches away. when I check on the this morning I noticed that my girl are smilling it was nice to see that the leafs looks nice and heathy and they starting to say hello to lights lol. anyways I will post pics of them today.

what kind of nutes should I use and when?
do u think it would be best to veg then for aleast 5-6 weeks not like the sites say.

Hey there Colombiano,
welome to AFN!

I am not an expert but I try to connect the dots..
I don't see a oscillating fan in your box, maybe you are getting accumulation
of hot air in among your plants.
Try monitoring temps on plant level and if these are too hight put a fan inside.

I hope this will help.

I tried the fan but the probem is with the fan is creating condensation. when I opened the tent is was wet inside. my lights weren't cheap so im not gonna crew them up lol anyways when I stopped the fan and dried the tent no more condensation. what I noticed was the mars hydro fans are spreading wind in the tent I can feel air in there. y room temp is around 23'c t 25'degrees. im looking to buy a heat tube £20 amazon and another 300w florescent bulb to add in the grow tent. would this be ok with the lights in there at the moment?

No worries buddy! :d5:

Good to hear that they're perking up! After looking at the pictures, i'm leaning more towards the feeling that number 2 looks nute burned. (so nute burned that a bit fell off lol).

Personally i'd probably use that tube as side lighting and let the 300w panel do the work.

As far as when to us nutes - It's gonna be difficult to advise with nutes already in there (think mg says like 3 months or so doesnt it? - thats the whole grow of an auto .. but it doesnt mean that you wont need to feed)

I think if you start a journal and keep pictures people may be able to see the signs of under feed for you and advice when and what to use.

There's also plenty of people here (me included) prepared to let you know "their way" of growing (there's lots of different ways and most "tried and tested" ways will work out fine for you) But perhaps we should see how you get on with this one first as i don't think anyone will recommend that soil as a good/easy starting base.

With autoflowers - you don't get the choice of when to Veg and Bloom - the flowering starts automatically. You can encourage more out of your plant by continuing to feed veg nutes (higher in Nitrogen) until the vertical growth stops before switching to bloom nutes (Higher P K).

I'll grab you a great link to a post which you will really like. It's the life cycle of the autoflower by Muddy (AFN superstar) - it will clear up loads of questions! :)

All the best

Good spot Africut! I was thinking the tent looked a bit tidy! :)

I'm guessing that if the movement fan is making the cab wet, you don't have an extractor fan (out take fan) at the top of your tent to get a good air exchange?

If not ... it's pretty essential and you're certainly need a carbon flilter too unless you want a REALLY smelly house/street :) I can advise on some if you haven't.
