New Grower Need help choosing fan/filter

The S&P was quieter, but I had a 4" model so I can't truly compare. Also, you have to wire the S&P fans yourself when you purchase them. My vote is go Vortex. Plug it in and forget it, plus it comes with a warranty.

More cfm for my $$$.. I was wondering about installing it in the attic, to dampen the noise..but wouldn't that be a bad idea if outdoor temps get Above 100 degrees here??
Prolly just run it inside the closet..
I guess now I'm searching for a speed controller..
And next week will be looking at those "phresh filters"..

The ventech, or aero speed controllers on amazon would work fine. It's like $17 I think. There is nothing special inside them, so no need for a pricy one. They all do the same thing.

Oh by the way, failure happens to EVERYONE. There is nothing we can do but learn from it and move on. I don't think anyone has ever mastered nature (nor should we), we just do our best to mimic it.
Thanks Fuggzy.. I'll see about starting a journal.. I'm on day 46 I think..
I have some yellow tips and spots here and there, but there's one thing I'm concerned about is where it looks as if somethings been eating some of the lower leaves ..image.jpeg
