Just tryna see how to cure my buds for the best smoke possible seems to my problem area either they don't smell or taste good or it won't stay lit. Should i go longer?

Yes you have nothing to lose by giving it more time. Did it smell good before drying? Did it smell good after drying? The reason I ask is, it will help us locate where something might have gone wrong.

Last things first. If it won't stay lit and has bad taste, other than the bud being wet, it is likely too full of nutrients from over fertilizing, no flushing etc.
If the nice smell and taste of the fresh buds has disappeared then it was dried to fast in too dry and warm environment. Drying to stem crack stage should take at least a week. Lower temps, raise humidity. MEASURE humidity 60 to 65% rH is perfect.

Once your bud reaches a consistent rh of 62%-67% you can jar it,
but then you will need to burp the jars at least once a day for a week or so,
and after that once a week for a few more weeks and then,
should it still be around, once a month.

Oh yeah, don't overpack your jars.

Those are the basics, there are nuances that you pick up with experience.

so after you harvest you have another month before respectable smoke? I'm pretty sure the bud you by on the street is not "cured" properly.
