Hi guyz....I have 2 walter whites, #1 is 12 days old and #2 is 11. The prob is that they still only have their coty's and 1st 2 true leaves.I'm usin a marshydro 300watt led and the plants are in 16oz styro cups in coco hempy-style w/perlite on the bottom 2''.
Given only water so far and 1/2 tsp of molasses in a gal of h20 on the 25th. they seem healthy...but stalled or sumthin'.......any help is appreciated guyz. TIA......LDD.

Does it look like the WW seedlings are stretching (tall and thin stem)? How close is your light to the tops of the plants?
I had problems with a seedling a while back not getting enough light energy and the leaves seemed to be on hold while the stem started to stretch out.

yeah.....thought it might come to that, lol. I've been wingin' it because I can't afford a meter.I'm using well-water only, watering till runoff 1x every 2-3 days as needed. They look healthy i.e. no spots, droop, odd color/paleness,nor twisted/clawed leaves. They're just stuck,or something. But yeah, mebbee ph....man I was hopin I could be as lucky as some are w/ph. I've some lime, which I didn't use when I made the cups.Only perlite in the bottom and pure coco in the rest of the cup.I was told
no one adds lime to coco(??)...should I sprinkle sum on top and water it in? The lime I have is finely powdered dolomite with cal/mag added. So...what do ya'll think? TIA.......LDD.

PS the light is close as I can get it.....hand at the tops and the led lowered until the back of my hand got warm,as the light stays just barely warm to the touch. No stretch at all say, 3'' or so.Oh, and sorry guys, my cam is busted
at the moment.:crying:

Rather than buy a ph pen, how about some ph testing papers? Won't set you back too many quid. You need to know where your well water is at, baseline, before you start liming or doing other things to adjust ph, because your water could vary anywhere between 7 and 8, or more.

These guys are awesome up in here on this site. Follow directions and put a photo up if you can. The question was asked, how high is the light, and you haven't answered, so it's more difficult to give any help without a complete picture of what you are dealing with.

Mediscrog...you should read b4 you post. I answered the q. in the bottom of my reply above....not in exact inches, but I think I was pretty clear on that.

Okay, I see your last edited is five minutes after I posted. Thanks for the PS. I was just passing through. Answer the mod's questions and I'm sure they can help you out without any games.

Sorry,guy...didn't mean to be dickish....been a rough day. Thanx for the help.

LD-- ...I think it's time to feed them, since there's nothing in that coco,... they can run off the cotl's only so long,... likely why they've stalled,.. My Walt wasn't a fast mover initially either, but she'll pick up soon enough- feed her! ...1/4-1/2 strength, depending on your nute's, and get going on inoculants, Ca-Mg (coco has a particularly high demand for it), some Superthrive or jump Start if you have some,... now is when auto's are getting busy with roots! Molasses does have a some Ca, Mg and K, but the sugars are of minimal help if there's no microbe herd to feed on it, and turn the nutrient cycle wheels around for the plants benefit,...
....that light should be about 18-24" away from such young plants,... As for pH, coco should run in the low 6's,...don't add stuff until you have some idea what the pH is, or you might cause more trouble than you started with,...dolomite is a slow acting form of lime anyway, for longer term release and buffering... a pet store will have test strips, even liquid testers, which can be used on the run -off, and are budget friendly, if not particularly accurate in this application,.. better than nothing!
