Indoor Need help with odor control

Iv'e got 288 cubic foot closet for my grow room and finnaly decided to install an oder control,or should I say my wife finaly decided.Is a 4'' fan and fiter big enough for me?Also do I have to vent it outside or can I just have it vent out inside the tent.Also do I need a muffler for the noise.Whats a good all around fan and filter combo that isn't to costly.

Don't know much about ventilation other than the CPU fans I use for my dresser grow and I don't use a filter. So my advice is try out barneys farm Pineapple Express if your looking not to have any smell. The plant I've got now has not smelled what so ever and it's budding crazy right now in my own bedroom with the door shut all day. No smell! But I hear its amazing cured bud. On the other hand how many plants are you trying to grow, I'd say vent it out of the tent with the filter but wouldn't think you'd have to take it outside if the whole set up isn't very large.

and you dont have to dump it outside if you buy good filter not a junk knock off there is 0% smell.

If you can find or make a smaller fan it would be great as that 4" inline makes noise... those 4" fans if your crafty make a good quit low speed inline... these...below..

you just need to pull enough air out of that tent/closet to keep a negative air flow going....

That filter from LED does not have very good reviews if I remember correctly but I have the same fan on the way.

If you have 288 cubic feet then you need a fan and filter that can pull a minimum of 58 cubic feet per minute (288 cu ft./5 minutes). So yea a 4" fan with filter should be more than enough. Just do some research on the filter so you get a good one. I run a 170 cfm fan with a viagrow 4" filter 24/7 and it lasts me about 6 months. Normally costs me about $55 for the filter. Viagrow is not top notch but it gets the job done. I have 2 grow tents daisy chained totaling about 105 sq ft and I get great negative pressure with mt 170 cfm fan. When I first got it hooked up I thought it was gonna cave one of my tents in.

How often do you run it and how long is the filter lasting you?

If your able to rig one of these into your tent with a homemade adapter to the filter it will provide enough negitive pressure to stop the smell and wont suck the tent "dry"

I did a whole 8x8 room once with one of these, direct vent to outside and knowone ever smelled it was in da house...It gave the room just enough neg pressure....
