So, I’m having different leaf symptoms with 3 different auto strains. I’d sure appreciate some advice on what’s going on.

I should add that I top dressed all my plants yesterday with some alfalfa meal and a sprinkling of Dr. Iron. Then, it rained 6” last night. Lol. All of these issues were there beforehand and nothing has changed, visually, since the rain. They’re in the sun again now. 90°F Also, it’s been really hot here since they sprouted. Until today, they didn’t know what rain was and have been dealing with 100°+ highs since birth. So, that needs to get figured in as well. Temps look like they’ll be staying in the low to mid 90’s for the foreseeable future.

Hoping @912GreenSkell @namvet25 @Rev. Green Genes and @Waira will share some input.

Chrystal Aurora Auto - 27 days
FF soil mixture w/ Ocean Forest, Happy Frog, worm castings and vermiculite.
Fed lightly and weekly with FF Kelp and Armour Si with an occasional dose of H&G Root Excelurator. Well water pH’d to 6.5

This is a Amnesia Haze - 5 weeks old
The larger fan leaves and some internal small leaves have this significant yellowing.
FF soil mixture w/ Ocean Forest, Happy Frog, worm castings and vermiculite.
Fed lightly and weekly with FF Kelp and Armour Si with an occasional dose of H&G Root Excelurator. Well water pH’d to 6.5

Super Dense - 4 weeks
These things are growing like gangbusters but they’re just beginning to show some very light brown (almost white) on the edges of some older leaves. Not sure if it’s anything to worry about.
FF soil mixture w/ K-9, Happy Frog, worm castings, bat guano, seabird guano, water crystals and vermiculite.
Fed lightly and weekly with FF Kelp and Armour Si with an occasional dose of H&G Root Excelurator. Well water pH’d to 6.5

no base nutes DTOM? No bloom even? They look plain starved, and nothing in those supp's listed is a substitute for proper NPK on blooming plants; bat/bird guano aside, and I need P-K #'s on them, and amounts,... plus as "organic' sources, they need time to break down and become available,...
OF is fairly rich, but not complete, nor is it a "super soil" water only deal,... as soils go, I find OF to be very iffy for quality and pH especially... seen pH's in the low 5's right out of the bag!
...symptoms are mixed, some of which is normal lower fan fading for this stage, but things will start to fade faster and faster now unless you get bloom nutes going ASAP,...
....heat isn't helping, depending on RH% as well and how it's affecting transpiration rates,.. if that goes too slowly the whole flow of water.nutes from roots up to leaves stalls out, and you start getting weird symptoms,... Look up in the Reference section for the article on vapor pressure deficit VPD,.. this will explain what I'm talking about here!

OK, i really thought that the soil would provide enough nutrients. At least for those little plants. I'll get on ordering some. Got anything you particularly like - something available on Amazon?

I always read about how "hot" OF is and figured adding nutes would surely burn them. Live and learn.

Ive been reading those article on transpiration that you've recommended to me before. Weather is improving but the RH has been pretty low until now. Not much I can do about our typical hot and dry summers besides giving them adequate water and some partial shade at the hottest part of the day. From here on out the weather will be getting really cannabis friendly, thankfully.

..it's too hot for seedlings usually,... but by no means is it a water only "super" soil...If you want that, I think some folks here are running SoHum Soil, a type of TLO (true living organics) I believe,... also, you can try Mephisto/GBD's organic soil amendment mix, a dry blend you mix into a mild soil (Roots Organic is what GBD likes), let cook for a week (recommended, not necessary), which is also "water only" type deal... But I'd still add Si, enzymes, and inoculants regularly.....and have base nutes handy just in case....
So many choices man, depends on what you want to spend,... FF nutes are generally pretty good and fairly cheap, Grow Big, Tiger Bloom, Big Bloom (more of a supplement, very weak in NPK).... have you looked through the nute section here? GLN/MegaCrop has an awesome deal for AFN'ers, 1 kilo sack free, shipping only, though I'd get a PK booster of some kind, MC has a heavy N content, too heavy for bloom many are finding,... look them up here, get the coupon code, and order from them directly... otherwise you can get a free+ship. 230g sample no code needed,...

@Waira I went ahead and ordered the FF trio Monday after I found a comment you made elsewhere saying they were good. I’m going to get the MC once they go back to the 1kilo deal. Right now it’s only 250g free; but they said they would return to the 1K deal shortly. Besides, Amazon will have the FF nutes here tomorrow with Prime shipping.

In the mean time, I went ahead and top dressed with some alphalfa meal, Dr Iron and a little of the seabird guano I have and watered with well water at 6.6ph. 1 hour later it started raining.......and, man, DID IT RAIN! We got 6.5” of rain that night! Then we had about 5hrs of sunshine the next day before it rained another 3” the following night. Tonight we got another 2.75” That’s 12.25” or 31.1cm in total rainfall! The plants have had explosive growth! Well, most of them. One is clearly stunted; but the rest are doing fantastic! I don’t know if it was the top dress, the water, the nitrogen from all the lightening or ALL 3? In any case, I’m happy. We have 50%-80% chances of more rain every day until Sunday. I just hope that won’t be too much.

It hadn’t rained here in almost 3 months. Then, we get a flood like this. Lol! It’s always sort of famine followed by a feast around here but THIS has been ridiculous!!!

From now on I’ll be mixing up my own super soil. That’s what I did years ago but I misunderstood that these FoxFarm soils were water-only. That’s what I get for listening to the propaganda! Lol. Thanks @Waira

Right after I re-tied her down a bit

.... pardon the delay, etc.,... site server snafu! ..Keep on the foods bro', that rain was a powerful leacher of nutes, though it certainly 'reset" the soil pH!
... I know how you got snagged, they do say you don't need nutes for a few weeks or more,... but that's with photo plants, and OF still can be too hot, which may not burn, but can still stunt some.... In any case, switch to Roots Organic soil, Original (milder) or 707 (hotter)....
.... Big Bloom is good stuff, use that full term.... note the NPK#'s, that's why I think of it as a supplement, not a base nute...

Should I worry about adding more moisture to the still moist soil that got such an extended flushing? I don’t want to drown them more than they have already been just to try and get some nutes in there. I have an organic bloom foliar nite solution. Maybe I’ll try that first. I’ll look around and see what other soils I can find around here. We have pretty limited choices and thought I was pretty fortunate to find FF. We are a long way from anywhere.

I got some Roots Organic HPK and I think I’ll alternate the FF Trio with that. I’m considering getting some Mammoth P but it’s awfully expensive.

If you get a chance, drop by my Late Bloomer grow journal in the Outdoor Grow Journal section.

...don't force it, just feed next time they need watering,...
...poor phrasing, I meant above to say OF can still be too hot for photo's seedlings, it's really meant as a final soil, transplant into, etc.,... one good trick is to make a center pocket of mild soil, and fill in around it with hotter soil.. that way the seedling can set established in milder soil and ease into the richer stuff more gradually,...
Roots is pretty common as well, so maybe you'll have some luck finding it as well,.. if not Happy Frog will do, just skip the guano's for the seedling/younger plants...... anytime you grow in soil, you need a decent soil pH probe for in-pot readings,... try the Accurate 8 soil pH probe, best deal is Amazon usually,...
HPK is nice stuff, but fairly mild..liquid bat poo basicallly! 0-4-3 I think,... slower acting for sure,....

What bloom nute do you recommend for soil? Should I invest in some mammoth P?
