Trichome watching is for effect most commonly, for personal preference..but some autos wont amber up........that's where getting to know a strain comes in handy.......
I would grab a little magnifier and take a nice close look at those trichs - if they're clear no - if they're cloudy or amber it's up to you
or.. snip a little branch - let it dry for a bit and have a nice relaxing smoke. See how it sits with you. If it's a lovely buzz that you'll be happy with, chop that mutha down!!
if theres still white hairs let her go longer.you can get a 60 x 100 microscope with led light on ebay for 6 bucks I had a 30x but was still hard to tell the new one is badass
