Grow Room Neko's Mephisto Grow

How much water did you mix the kelp with Neko? What does it provide to the plants?

Thanks Eyes!

Subbed in Neko, I'm sure I can learn something! :I Need Tech Help:

well for a bag of soil id add a 1/4-1/2 cup in a 1.5CF bag O soil.thats the powdered stuff with other amendments but works well alone for soiless mixes too but kinda a waste in them though imho. but for a feed its fine. use as usual but if its a 1:1 ratio (my blackstrap powder is,some aren't) but for a rinse you can look up the recipe and instructions and substitute certain sugars for this n that and add a sprinkle of powdered molasses n a drop or two of cal mag n sip it from there,or goop if ya make it thick which ever.warm it up. but if ya made it id use a 1/2 TBspoon for a rinse with a yucca washing. dude, per gallon a cpl times over a three week period prior to rinse.less by 33% each watering of the sugar. dont use cal mag in it(molasses if fine though) if your taking it out through harvest with this and sweetners especially organic to boost a mellow strain of strawberry for example..WOW it does to a riight nice job.ive not done it but i know several who have played with it and i have on a small level but aint got my own stuffs for that yet.Im working on it..lol one year at a time lol

and yeah imho I personally find it to be better than straight molasses, when made with natural sugars n whatever else you wanna tinker with thats food grade and naturally grown.youll see.

note:you can also do a four week adding of the sugar syrup ya make and start at 1/2 Tbspoon and the last week rinse even again with yucca and plain water.that'll clean up your bud reallly nicely lol i got some buds that are smooth n sweet(still falling of yet buuut) and less than 2 weeks in a jar. it helps.especially with purples imo. done over four weeks prior to chopping.

Yea, I do notice using molasses to the end really does bring out a distinct sweetness that caries itself over to each strain. Talking about it now, I just realized why each strain has this similar sweet bud smell..mixed in with the other unique smells to each strain.

Hmmm, looks like Im going to have to upgrade my molasses to this once I run out of molasses.

@ JackMc. Good question. Ive been adding this to 1 liter of water. I need to watch it since I do it like this. Easier to burn my plants..Even though Im using organics. The kelp and molasses dosages are fine but, Ill be scaling back a tad on my teas. I believe thats what Im doing that is causing a little over feeding/burn.

@ Need4Weed..Hey, whats up man. Glad to have you joining along for the ride. I hope you learn something from anything lol..even if its what not to do. Big reason why I post journals. So, people can learn from my mistakes and successes. Not the only reason though. its just nice having people there to talk about the same beloved hobby. I dont think talking about different nutes, strains, seed banks, watering, lights, etc would pan over well with my average pot smoking friend. Id probably get that look like....Dude....I just want to smoke some herb man.

Thanks for stopping by guys. Will have an update on monday. Everything is going great so far.

Soo I hear all these different reasons to feed molasses to my plants. I have a question as a grower that's in hydro mostly what are the true benefits. I hear people say adds weight to there buds I also hear brings out terps and the last one I heard was it makes your plants grow faster. I'm always learning new stuff and I'm very interested in this molasses.

Hey NekoSempai, subbed up and joining in the joy of watching your grow. I hear good reports about Mephisto and will have to pickup some beans.
Good vibes
Jax

hey, thanks Jax for tuning in man. Glad to have you here, and might I say. Welcome to AFN brother. Good place to learn a lot about growing autos/growing in general. Lots of good vibes here man. :Sharing One:

@KaosAngel22. Well, Im not sure if you question was in general. Or else it was directed to eyes?
But here is what I got on my understanding on molasses.

The benefits that I know what its supposed to be doing is.
1. Carb Booster to help create protiens that help build the plant walls and so forth.
2. helps boost the microbiology of the soil if you going organic..I would imagine so in organic hydro..but I know hardly anything about hydro.
3.Calcium/magnisuim suplimentation. Not enough to be a full on cal/mag suppliment like the others.
4. Helps with sweeter taste and more terpenoid production. I believe this is accurate and correct. Personally Ive tried stuff not grown with molasses, and that familiar sweet smell/tastey undertone my herb has..Is not present. This is one anecdotal experience though. I have not thoroughly studied no this.
5. a little bit of extra potassium to round things off during bloom.

I also got a new girl. Now Ill have 1 more indica dominant plant, and 2 sativas in there with the lemon heads. Should end me up with a good stash for my sleep, and for my day time needs. Which Ive been seriously lacking daytime meds. Sleep is my priority when it comes to how I decide on what Im planting.

Gave the WT 1 a watering with molasses and kelp..and just plain water as it needs. Next watering will be its first realy feeding.
The ToofxGhost is doing well also. Its first leaves look a little strange though. Still growing with vigor, so probably just a natural mutation of the leaves. Ill try to get a proper pick on my day off. a little under the weather. So, I didnt want to hastle to much with stuff.

SUNP0031.JPGBarley started popping out. Had a piece of dirt proped up on its side. So, it must have barely submerged not to long before I checked it at 1 hour after lights on.
Toofless Ghost Day 6. Thats what Im going to call the ToofxGhost from now on.

looking good Neko, and your understanding of the molasses is what I've gathered from reading up on it. I didn't use it on my first grow but I'm using it on my current grow.

Looking good Neko! I popped 10 into the tent last night. I'm trying to keep up with you:Sharing One:

yeah i tend not to try most times unless Im asked directly to avoid long answers or posts..but yeah neko bro your right. What Ive found through my dealing with flavorings, sweetners and brix additions(which molasses is in part) is that it works in hydro,Coco as Soils respectively.Hydro tend to only take up the general nutes and brix(sweetners) builders as a rule and slightly more with coco man.Coco has more a soild mass, life likes and enzymes like better.Hydro is by definition imo a veeery unstable medium to maintain an even level of living (good ones) spectrums of life. again imo.:Sharing One:

But when you add a step down process as in a basic nute program for example and replace the ,molasses with that syrup I mentioned i think youll find it'll tase better and ofcourse step that down too.But ppl report bud building aspects from molasses cuz its for flower but the vitamin definitions i think and cal mag,Fe,pot n so on,are what lend to that imo. but some tend to push out till harvest and again imo it leads to a false sense of taste too.its artificial sweetner added and if its rinsed and built through flower as a step down replacement program again imho I think youll find it clean, somber n ever so smooth and naturally sweet verses what may come across as a pushed or even an over powered sweetnes thats unrealistic. thats my take on that syrup and molasses feeds. And for soil its a food and breaks down(especially if added powdered to the soil as a brix n feeds boost)other materials since as many prolly already know SUGARS n Acids are what make the world go round in decomp land as a starter or a speeding booster of decomp and compost starters so its an all around awesome booster, feeder and all around badass in the soil relms imo when added as a dual spectrum from powdered to liquid feeds.:Sharing One:
