Hi Everyone.
Super excited to start my first grow thread with you all. I’m new to Mephisto but not growing. Using HP high-porosity medium with the GH flora series, in 3 gallon fabric pots. 320w qb Kingbrite 3500k with the extra 660 reds.
I was one of the new Canadian reddit users chosen to be a tester candidate up here. Got a 4 pack of unknown seeds in mail, labelled only ’001’.
Excited (and also a bit anxious) to share my progress with you all and learn from everyone else’s experiences. So, here we go!
Seeds received Nov 6th, went into water for about a 20-24hr soak on night of Nov 7th:
I germinated (DVD case method) all 4 to test and by Nov 9th all had success: 2 with long tails, 2 just peeking out:
I put them 3 into 3gal fabric pots and 1 in smaller tomato pot. I can only realistically grow 3 in this space:
They all popped above soil by the 12th so I went with that as Day 1. By the 13th on Day 2:
Day 3:
Flash forward to Nov 21st, Day 10:
Growing Strong:
So far things are going well. Notable issues encountered so far: one of four started more on yellow-er side, especially in the newer growth - mostly now resolved. Also I got a bit aggressive with the light so a bit of curling on two of the plants - also now under control. This new light is a beast.
Will try to post at least once a week as time / schedule / family permits.
