Lighting new GN Units

People seem really focused of the consumption when it's the output that's the most important to are plants....pounds per watts consumed should be ignored although consumption is important to look at it's the quality of the components and the output we should really compare to other units and there cost.

Yes but i know my electronics and a 75W input isn't going to give you as much output via 1w/3w or 5w LEDs as an equivalent-cost 300W unit.

Does anyone know details of the spec, how this magic technology supposedly works, how it was tested etc ?

Well as has been said why make do with a ford when u can get a Bentley :)
Also whats there company statement "The Very Latest in LED Technology and Manafacture! I def believe look what there ms6 can do for a start!End of ill def be buying some:)

Ok let's say I can grow 250g under 75w and your friend is growing 250g under 250w wouldn't my saying in energy get my money back?

If you can grow 250g under 75watts that would be really impressive. But you're talking over 3 grams per watt here... I just cant see it being possible. Fuck man, if you can grow 250g under 75watts I'd seriously consider buying them. I'm sure they are impressive units, high quality parts, top bin chips, but they dont operate outside the laws of physics/photosynthesis/more light=morebuds.

We're all intelligent individuals... At this pricepoint there's a huge markup/profit. My chinese LED's are built like a tank punch out a bunch of light and get the job done. I'm not hating on GN, i just dislike seeing companies take people to town for a perception of quality. Hell maybe these lights are some next generation sci fi technology that will cure cancer n shit... But I'm more inclined to believe they just source their parts from the same factories every other LED manufacturer does, carefully put them together, slap a sticker on them and sell them to you with a big smile.

Premium price is not all its cracked up to be...I've heard stories about certain top priced LED's overheating if they dont have a fan pointed directly at them...

If possible can we not close this yet or at least just try to keep it open? so many times there will be a decent discussion going on and I'll be learning new things or getting good info about products or growing and just cause 2 people disagree it gets closed and that's the end of it "AFN smoke out"

there saying closer to the MS0006 which was like 180-190w and there is a big variant in differing units cost with similar power you just need to look on the vipar website then the Hydrogrow site lol there worlds apart.

no spec yet bro thats why I don't understand the criticism.

Thread won't be shut down bro.

I hope not..I plan on getting an LED sometime this year or early next,er there abouts.N that'll be fun.2 of them actually.fill that 5X5 up real nice.id like to get a bit of a higher end one and I here these more powerful units are pretty frigin awesome. use with a good Veg light.Arent the new units supposed to be a bit better in the Veg dept.?.So that'll be fun.Always watchin ya'll do yer thing...lol."AFN smoke out""AFN smoke out""AFN smoke out" I know there are a few solid options right now,but I wanna see these cool new lights n have ya'll kick the crap outta em fer awhile..lol.

Looks like a productive discussion to me.

If these unitss perform like a ferrari for the efficiency of a prius, and the reliability of...some reliable automotive equivalent...lol.... I'd buy em.

I'm punching 1600watts of LED into my tent at the moment. If I could reduce that to 800 and still get the same growth it would be insane...

I could halve my power costs (which are considerable starting at $0.28 per kwh and rising to $0.46 incrementally)...

Or double my growing capacity. Keeping my power bills in the realm of reasonable is pretty important to the safety of my hobby.

I believe there have been developments in the spectrum research so it has evolved from the Rebel spectrum but it will be a full spectrum for veg and flower.
