Lighting new GN Units

Spoke to the guys at GN today to get an update on the new light and there anticipating slight delays on one or two of the parts but it's only going to delay launch a few weeks so should still be out next month. This is there first production run so its impossible for them to set a release day until they have all the components in hand. They also assured me AFN would be the first to get any new product info and that the unit will be well worth the wait.

Thanks for the information TaNg. Will this unit be adjustable for U.S. voltage? If not are you aware if/when this may be available?

Thanks in advance for any response
-Frank

First unit will be 220-240v but you can buy a voltage converter, there is a 120v planned but no time scale.

Does anyone here use/know of any safe, reliable voltage converters for such use?
I have scoped some options, but it's always nice to hear testimony from a user; So anyone here in the States that had to use a converter for an earlier GN model please drop your two cents in the jar.

I might have missed it but I can't remember seeing the wattage of the new units anywhere, you'll need to know that before you can choose the right step up transformer.

Thanks Bilbo,
I believe TaNg approximated the new units watt usage to be between the limits 75W-90W.
So I'll need a voltage converter beyond the upper watt limit above.

I'm just trying to find some first hand forum knowledge of any voltage converters that one would call deeecent in a bubbles like way. With respect to that I thought this was appropriate.

Howdy Folks. Hoping your all well and green.
We are rapidly approaching the end of the month and still no more info on these magical new units.
So i guess its time to get the rumour mill back in action!!

Any one got any gossip they wanna spill."Stirring"

I'm getting tired of waiting and weighing getting another 420 Inda-gro induction. And then I ask myself if I really need to.

I talked to Jeremy at GN and he told me that they would release the light in early August. Which can't come soon enough since my 6 girls are running a bit low on just one ms0006.
