hi and @barbarca
on a budget has to be soil imo.could get lucky with ph being within range.the more watery grow styles a ph pen is a must thats $80 off ya budget just like that,another $50 for the ph up/down/cleaning/ storage/calibrating fluids.
been lurking for some time or first day here ? im archie gemmill your butlins blue coat hi de high site rep a few things well worth a read.

Right, wee bit pished now but I advise soil and organic nutes, biobizz e.g. Chat more tomorrow but it's much more forgiving

Hi Barb, first time? I'd take a look at Mega-crop, if you google em you can get a sample for free. Plenty for a few grows. Get good potting soil and a bag of perlite, a Ph. pen maybe some cal-mag. Then get the best light you can afford. This is all you need to get to get the party started..... Sassy

I thought it was best to use half of the trio and none at all first couple of days 7 I think I got some notes here but there is a lot of different options here
