Latest update.
I got a new PH meter that night, calibrated the meter and got the PH to 5.8. Checked it in the morning to find the PH showing 6.8... WTF Made sure the meter was good, adjusted the ph back down. Later that afternoon I checked again.. PH was way up once again. Adjusted back down and the same thing happened in the morning.

Irritated with having to adjust the PH so much, and finding my meter to float too much (shitty for a $50 meter >_<) I bit the bullet and got the PH Perfect Grow, micro, bloom from Advanced nutrients. Hopefully this works to keep my PH more stable while I work on dialing in temps and such. Instead of fretting over the PH constantly.

I followed the recommended amounts for seedlings and added 2ml of each per liter of water I have, which comes out to 26ml of each. Leaving the PPM at 652(high I know, but I was told the PH version runs higher than regular anyhow, and I should be safe) and the PH at a happy 5.7. Lets hope it stays that way and I don't have to fret and stress so much about it =)

I haven't found a good thermometer to keep an eye on the res temps, since I think the one I'm using isn't reading temps right. The water feels cool to my hands, but its reading 75 pretty constantly. So, just in case I've been adding a 20oz soda bottle of frozen water to the res.

Oh, before I forget. The grow looks like its just going to be a single Diesel Berry. The last of FIVE Candy Kush seeds failed to germinate. I got one to seedling and it died too. All dead. All 5. Waste of cash there. Too bad, because I was hoping for that one more than the Diesel. Well, lets hope the D is a female. Or I'm going to do some violence or something...

This morning, I got into the tent, and noticed it was showing sex. Looking it over and seeing the calyxes I was pleased, until I looked towards the bottom of the plant and saw balls. The fucking thing went herm :no:

So at 6:12am 2/20/2014 Little Vin was pronounced dead, and buried in the porcelain sea. Lets all have a moment of silence for it.

Unfortunately I don't have enough time to roll out anymore until I move at the end of April. So I'll be ending this thread and starting a new one when I'm in my new home in Denver

Worst part is, once I got everything dialed in it took off. Had a softball sized root ball and was 6" tall, that comes out to about 3" in 3 days. AN GMB PH perfect works pretty good! I wouldn't have pulled it, but the amount of electricity just wasn't worth what I'd pull off it. So to remove stress, I just yanked it.

Hopefully within the next month I'll already be up there. The day I pay first month's rent is the same day I'll have the grow room setup again, though I think I'll be doing the buckets different this time.

I also emailed Auto Seeds about the bullshit of 5 of their candy kush not germinating, and 3 of the Diesel. Got a "sorry we can't do anything for you" response. Typical.

400ppm is crazy. I think 500 is the EPA's limit here in the states. You could probably run that sh!t through a dirty pair of boxers and it would come out better...

Sorry to bring up an old post but I live in USA and i wish I had 400 ppm water, the EPA's limit is 1600 ppm. My tap has 1300 ppm coming out of it, this really pisses me off that I have to pay money for crap but its all I have. RO water is all I use its about 30 ppm and works great, I bought my RO system off ebay for around $100 and it cleans the water well. I was using the RO water machines outside of grocery stores but it got old lugging around water..
