Mtam you will definitely be smoking something there. Plant on left looks overwatered to me.
What lights you using? Need more info to give better advice!
Hey your wife should be proud if that's you're first attempt!

Hey mtam :smokebuds:

I agree with milkman, it looks overwatered (or underwatered) and some more info about your grow setup would help us to give some advice. I also agree that your wife should be proud!! My first plants didn't look half that good or half that big!

Well teh first two were used in a hydro. Fail!

I had them in a small box but built a new one. 6' tall X 30" wide X 18" deep. I have a 2'- 4bulb T5 lights. @-6500k and 2 3000k. I also have one 85w pig tail CFL 6500k. Temps have been 60's to 70's. Humidity 35% 50% ish. I have a 4" duct fan with filter and a small fan for air movement.

If the one on the left is overwatered how do you fix it? I'll post pix tomorrow.

Thx!

Duh. Just realized the pix re already uploaded..

if it's overwatered,You would let the soil dry out for a few days. The top may feel dry but the base of the pot may be anything from damp/moist to soggy/saturated. After you have allowed enough time for that base to dry up a little then you would start giving it water slowly like small amounts at a time.
If its too dry on the other the pot will be ultra light to pick up. Give it a little drink and about 15-25 minutes you should start to see the leaves purk up a little. Then give it a good drink to slight run off and should improve again

Hey mtam12!

Welcome to the AFN community!
You came to the right place for all the help you will ever need!

Okay, now for some questions:
1- Lights:check:
2- Light schedule? How long are they on/off for?
3- Soil? What kind of soil did you use?
4- Nutes? Are you using any, how much and which brand?
5- Pots are a bit small and they should be plastic. Those clay pots hold nutes and salts and can leach them back into the soil, not good.

You should be happy to have some plants that have survived!
Some people are not so lucky!

I abandoned my first hydro grow as well as they were not growing.
Moved them all to soil and now i have a garden!

I would recommend looking around for any books on the subject and read as much as you can!
It's a great way to learn and to get questions answered to the parts you don't get.

Also read all the stickies on the site, located above all the new posts.
Check out the "New Growers Forum" lots of great stickies and advice located there!

Looking forward to your journal dude!!!
:peace:

Lights are on 20/4
I used MG. Seemed to do well for awhile. I won't use for the next time.
I started nutes maybe a week ago. Fluroduo. One teaspoon per 1/2 gallon. I did use just past A for a watering or two then found I should be using both and have used both for a watering a time or two, one teaspoon each per 1/2 gallon..
I considered changing them to other pots but thought it might be too late for this go. I plan to get 3 gallon air pots for the next go. Is 3 gallon big enough? What size should I get?

I have Jorge C (forgot his name) book. Very thorough! I have read a lot here and continue. Who new it was this in-depth of a process?!

OK I'll wait until the soil is dry and see if a little water helps.
