Ok so I just got things going a couple weeks ago, here's my setup.

39x39x79 Agromax Tent
600w MH/HPS Apollo Ballast
140 Cfm 6" fan for exhaust (top)
4" duct for intake (bottom)
5 Gallon bags, half full with FF Ocean Forest
FOxFarm Nutes Trio
Distilled Ph'd water to 6.5 range

Two weeks ago from today I germinates pyramid seeds auto white widow and super hash, autoseeds purple cheese

I planted directly into their 3 gallon bags, transplanted about a week later because the bags had came up from the bottom and would have blocked root growth in the near future, I believe they took fine to the transplant. During the first week they also got some slight burning from the lamp being too close and it also dried the environment for a couple days, the plants recovered within the week and are now at this stage. Also I started the plants on 18/6 light schedule with the metal halide on 50% dim but after the first week have had the light on 24/0 on 100% dim

To help recover from the burning I gave two feedings to the plants within the week after and supplemented a teaspoon of Superthrive in a gallon of water which was their recovery feed for that week. I fed the first half gallon of quarter strength week 1 dosage for the fox farms Nutes to the plants then at the middle of the week fed the remaining feed at half strength week 1 dosage, along with about a tspn of superthrive, since the last feeding the plants have not received any water but did recover from the burning and have grown but I believe the growth is stunted for 2 weeks. The temperature in the tent stays around 80-90F and 30-50% humidity

I also have 2 other autos (purple cheese and berry Ryder) as well as two photoperiod plants (deep cheese and cotton candy) which were germed 3 days ago and are now growing in small plastic containers with humidity domes to keep them wet.

Photos are as follows
Purple cheese
White widow

I have seen improved growth from lowering my temp to 75 F. Looks like a nice strain selection you have there...

Look forward to seeing a journal and future pics

I need to get a couple of clip on fans for better air circulation which I think would help with the temperature but the summer is fading in my area so it will be cooler.

And thanks, I also had an auto blue diesel and critical cheese but I lost those during a bad experience germinating with rockwool, had to retort to the trusted paper towel.

nice setup bro. looking good :smokebuds:

What was your bad experience bro?? Please share so none of us have the same!:) im gonna be using rock wool for the first time in a few weeks any pointers would be appreciated :stylez rasta smoke:

YUP..Hot soil on seeds sucks..but no problem..the fast auto growth should help you bounce back and not loose too much..but the first stages are important in auto grows.Im learning to get best results..grow the same strain a few times so you can get it dialed in and perfect your grow style!:styles rasta::tiphat::karma Cloud:

Thanks, my bad experience was due to haphazard setup and lack of experience, I planted 8 seeds in neutral ph rockwool and only 50% germed and the others I had to pop in soil, if I were growing in water I would learn the ins and outs of rockwool but for soil growing I would rather just use the paper towel method.

I have a small update, things seem to be going well just finished the first official feeding on the white widow, purple cheese, and superhash. I transplanted the other purple cheese into its permanent home, I watered with some superthrive and turned the lights off after transplant to prevent shock. The plant took well to the change, the cotton candy and deep cheese are on their 2nd week and vegging well in the small containers. Since I have had running my 600w metal halide on for 24/0, the temperature is between 80-90 and things seem to be going well.

I even introduced some lst to the white widow Nd super cheese.

Let me know what you guys think, plants are 3 weeks old since germ (ww, pc, sh) and beginning week 2 since germ are (pc, dc, cc).

I have to say that ure plants are real small for 3 weeks, I say this so you ain't shocked when u are harvesting and it is not as much as u was expecting.
Did u make holes in the bottom off those bags ?
Grtz

I was just about to ask about the holes too..But hot soil will stunt growth bad..Best thing is to water it with some molasses 1nce a week for 30-40 days to make it better for autos..and the rock wool lol I made the same mistake..I dont like them ..I just let them sink in a cup then pop them in soil. You could try adding some MYCO hurds ..but I had some hot seed starter my first grow and almost lost them.Keep temps 75-80.Im on Led and I keep min at 80 in flower ..70 if they are reg seeds .:High 5:They may take of and grow like crazy..im subbed:smokebuds:
