Your good, take each day and as experience. You learn and continue to gain skills that will help you tremendously. Read along and follow threads, check the DIY section out too when you get a chance.

Since the LED is Blurple, I would keep it as you have, the 600hps will always make great buds, it's the LED and the amount of different ones that is hard to know.
My first grow was flowered under a 600hps most of the way and I can't complaint about the end result, but since your not growing in a tent you should not have heat issues as noticeable.
And of course there is always the electrical bill, I had to retire my 600 HPS kit because of the bills and second the heat, as summer arrives..
The HPS you can keep as close to the top of the plants as long as heat is not a issue as for the LED I'm still figuring out mine, it's seems like every centimeter matters, and it's been trial and error for me, especially growing 4 Strains each demanding different lights intensity and nutrients intake.

A 4 strain grow. Second try.

Yeah that's same way with mine I actually thought some of my seats did not germinate so I just stuck them down in a bucket and after I put the LED light on those seeds came up so I've got five different strains on my babies and 16 total so yeah it's a lot of work
