Just wanted to say “Hi” to everyone. Am starting my first indoor grow and have found AFN to be a great resource for information. So, thank you.
I do have one one critical question:
Does anyone have experience with BlackDog Phytomax-2 LED? I’m trying to get great lights that are efficient, produce less heat, and also obviously trying to maximize the yield of my 6.5’x 6.5’ tent (also 6.5 ft high ). I’m willing to spend the money for quality stuff. However, I’m not wishing to spend it needlessly.
Any input is much appreciated.

Welcome DC. You're already aware of what a great place this is....

I don't know too many deets on the Black Dog but I reckon, having read the spec, that there is much better bang for your buck out there. Have a search for quantum boards, Autocobs, todogrowled, Grow Northern too name but a few.

Knowing the budget might help but given the price of the PhytoMAX there are, in my humble opinion, a lot more options for you to consider.

I'm sure more knowledgable peeps that I will be along shortly.

Use the force hombre. :d5:

Thank u! I’m just trying to find the best plug n play leds I can find. Black Dog claims a Phytomax-2 1000 can produce 2 1/2- 3 lbs per light. Just curious if anyone is using them to good results. Obviously not wanting to spend $2,200 each light if there are other options.

Hard to beat the Autocob. www.cobshop.net. I really like my 3500K. I own six. They are small and easy to move, low heat throw, no noise as they don't have fans, .49 amp, nearly bright as the sun. Quantum boards are popular too.
