Only on the advice of you guys. Plus I'm looking for somewhere to keep this depending on how big it gets, I can't find any info on how big the double gum strains get lol

Attitude seeds lists it as a medium sized plant, but it all depends on conditions, lights, feed, care & a bit of luck from the gods :) I'd bank on it being 15" minimum. You'll need a few inches between the top of the plant and the light, plus whatever room your bulb and reflector takes up ^_^

For reference, Onyx which i grew last is listed as medium to tall and under my 250 HPS mine got about 24-30" tall (but again, i've seen em bigger depending on grower skills and setup)

Ok cool.. I got enough room atleast till these other 3 start growing then I'll need to move to the abandoned house out my back garden. Then we should see some height on the girls hopefully.

Got my first 3 leaf... Leaf? Lol looking well after my wee scare

Can see in my avatar that since using the nutes its come along quite well.

Guys help me out... Wondered why one of my new seedlings was not growing..I noticed the root had gone and on closer inspection noticed there was a white like worm type thing in the actually stem eatting it from inside out.

Now I'm worried that because all my plants are together do I have some sort of infestationshall I clear my space out and give it a good clean ? And with what ?

o_O you noticed the root had gone?? Have you been digging again seasick?? ^_^

Take a piccy mate, I think we need to see whats going on there. (and if you have been digging to see the root - stop it lol)

I couldn't get an actual photo of it but it looked like more of a grub of some sort.

Is there anything I can do now to stop this... A tent maybe or an indoor greenhouse cos I got both near by

Vine Weevils..like a small white maggot that lives in the soil and eats the plant roots.

Off-hand I can't think of a vine weevil kiler but you will be able to google it..they are a Bugger..

Well .. if the stems being eaten from the inside out and the root is gone - i'd say you're fighting a losing battle here to be honest. Like cres says, the first 2 weeks of an Autos life is extremely important and to be fair - with the scissors and bugs, the conditions haven't been ideal.

You could try and fix it with some recommendations from folks who are used to dealing with bugs and stuff - but my advice for what it's worth would be to take what you've learned and start over.

Sound harsh - but just think - the compost you have is questionable - right? and you've got your new light which should rock and you managed to bring the seedling up despite some early mistreatment ( I'm guessing your initial leaf wilted becuase either you watered it and left it wet, or perhaps it was laying on the wet soil - it's happened to me before).

Next time round, get some approved/recommended soil (biobizz lightmix will do the trick for you), and yeah, keep it in a tent.

Just my thought - i'm sure others will chime in soon enough ^_^

I agree blue, although my 2 week old plant is still growing at a rapid rate now and no sign of any bugs etc on her. The other two have been fine also. Can't I keep them going for now ..clean up and set the tent up ?
