looking good my man and welcome to AFN (love the avatar)...how many days is she on now ? those buds look like they still swelling

Hi.

They are about 8wks, i have never really kept a complete record, i just pop in and water them every now and then.

i think my main problem is when to chop, do i wit for leaves to start dying etc etc

Hey dude and welcome, when I started I used CFL's, honestly I only recently brought HPS lighting, but I know what you mean when you say everyone on here puts yours to shame, mine were smaller then yours! Only had 130watts haha,

At first i was messing up big time, now i get enough off whilst waiting for the next one to finish, still i know there is room for vast improvement.

Hey don't we all screw up, that's how you improve lol.
I averaged around 20grams, per plant, ran two at a time, what's your average yield with just the one plant?

you could have at least 2 weeks to go, those buds could still swell some more... I've taken all my plants to 10wks plus. I would start your flush and see where they are at in a week. Muddy's thread on when to harvest is golden, I follow that with bit of gut instinct.
Your right about your light, if you get into the DIY LED's then you will get the harvest you want. You will be amazed at what one 50w cob can produce...same as a mars 300w if not more with denser buds.

On average i get about 25grms, when i chop i look and think result.

Then after a few days of them hanging i'm like WTF where have they gone, they are small...

So yeah about 25grms dried, probably less as i cant seem to dry it properly, the outside is, but the middle is always so sticky i can't even pick a bit off i end up compressing it and end up with like a ball, then i put it away again, and it is hard and very dry when i try smoking it again, usually about two weeks after.

Hope that makes sense, if not sorry i have already smoked 2!

I'm no expert in the drying field I just know how I like mine, but what are your temps and humidity when drying? Sounds like the buds are drying unevenly, causing the outside to dry but keep moisture in the middle, don't ask me about what the correct temps ect are for drying but if your interested I'll find a link to a dry and cure thread that's here.

I have no idea what temps they are at, i have read many forums and thought because they are autos they will give something anyway, i dont adjust lights, or keep to any schedule, in my mind they produce and keep me happy when i get my final yield, and sometimes i think SHIT after 15mins of smoking one, i am locked and ready for bed, it is a totally different feeling to smoking some crap i bought.
