New Grower New to autoflower grow set up

JAYAR thanks for the help I just really want to grow some nice huge and healthy autoflowers lol

This should help you: (Wattage × Hours Used Per Day) ÷ 1000 = Daily Kilowatt-hour (kWh) consumption. 1 kilowatt (kW) = 1,000 Watts. Multiply this by the number of days you use the appliance during the month for the monthly consumption in kWh per month. Then multiply by your cost of electricity. For this example ill use 11 cents/kWh.

You're running 1200 watts of power with ur t5 lights. Multiply by 20 hours. Divide by 1000 = 24 kWh. Multilly 24 times 30 (30 days in a month) then multiply times .11 (11 cents). This equals about $80/ month for your t5 setup.

If you had 2000 watts of HID then your bill would be about $140

It's all gravy baby Think different is a beast and ive watched about a dozen grows here showcasing how big they get. Good luck with ur op!!

Best of luck with your grow Savage, looks like you have a nice setup in place. 12 TD is quite a leap for your first grow but there is not better way to learn than experience.

I'm a stay at home grower now( other guy moved away) so its all up to me he took his stuff and I got all mine but am waiting for stuff in the mail to have a whole set up again

But I have never used dwc or autoflowers befor so its like my first grow all over again I can't wait :-)
I just heard light spec didn't matter as much for autos but I guess its the same. When would it be the ideal time to switch them from 20hours on and 4 off with t5 and 18hours on and 6off with 1000watt?

Light spectrum isn't as important but i have noticed that my autos do like the MH early in veg. They green up much better than with HPS but generally you are correct. There are a lot of people that only use HPS.

As for the light switch, you could do it any time you are ready. I would consider dropping it an hour a week, like 19/5 the first week and 18/6 the second. Less stressful that way. There really is no reason to go to 18/6 unless it is strictly a cost savings goal. They will flower just fine on 20/4 and production will probably be a little better all things considered but it is entirely up to you as well. They will do quite well under 18/6 also.

So your autos like MH not HPS? Do you think I could get away with one large adjust a wing and if I dod that should I still run my t5s with it? If so should I use bloom lights or veg in the t5?

I probably wasn't all that clear in the last post. I always swap over to HPS when bloom starts but I run MH during the veg period of the grow. They seem to stay greener when using MH early on and switching to HPS after bloom starts. Sorry about that. You can run HPS from beginning to end as well. They will still do fine. I would use the T5 through veg with 6500k in them and that will be plenty of light to get them through the first month easily and save you some electricity. After they are up about 1' or so they will start hitting their bloom stage. At that point I would swap to the 1000W with an HPS. If your ballast is switchable and you have the money, I would consider getting a 600W HPS to put in there and let them bloom on it for until you need the penetration and then swap it to full 1000W. That would save you some money on electricity as well. That is what I do with mine, basically tier everything up from 400W to 600W then finally to 1000W towards the end of the grow. It helps on light longevity as well as electricity and cuts down on heat needed to keep the room cool.

Thanks for clearing that up for me I think I will do like you said sounds like a good way to throw a lot of diff light spec with keeping down on cost and that is why I LOVE THIS WEBSITE :-) thanks for the help can't wait to get started
