There are always variables & everyone's growroom is different ,like you say 5.5-5.8 is optimal & should work in most cases .That's where I keep it in veg & get good results as do many others .Best advise for new growers is stay as close to 5.8 the magic ~Last I tried 5.8ph on my recent grow, in just a day or to got some browning of the older leaves and they got all crusty. I raised it up to 6.2 and now they seem a bit happier. I just dont know why but thats what happens to me. Many say that 5.5 to 5.8 would be optimal but in my experience I just get trouble! I have used couple ph meters both calibrated so it is not that.
This is really weird. I wonder why it is like that in my case?
