Grow Mediums New to dwc need help asap !!

Ya medgrower u r so right about the ph , it does gt annoying trying to manage it. But i let the ph drift up a little bit to 6.0 and i have to say it might of helped a little bit . Cause now my seedling does seem to be a little greener. So i checked before lights went off . The ppm level stayed the same at 319ppm and the ph went from 5.7 to 6.0 . So by time the lights come bk on it might be around 6.1 or 6.2 and i think im going to drop ut bk down to 5.8 and take some new pics and post them .

But thanks so much its just feels good nt to b alone and trying to figure all this out on my own lol.

Indeed bro! I am so happy we do have such friendly and helpful community here that is specially kind to new growers.

Do keep in mind when adjusting Ph that rather change just small amount at one time. Like I try to change Ph mostly just 0.2 units at one time to avoid shock. Have you used humic and fulvic acids with your nutes? I tried to add some GHE Diamond nectar on my new patch of nutes and I can already see they keep the Ph more stable. Highly recommend on having that stuff!

Im going to hv to look into that . All i hv is just the GH ph up and ph down . So im going to the hydro shop today and look at a bottle of that . And see if i can afford it lol . Im growing on a budget and everytime i tell the wife i need something else she acts like she about to hv a heart attack lol. But when the hearvest is done and she is smoking everything seems to b ok , and she is like well im glad we went and gt that . But before the harvest she has a heart attack lol go figure. But after she is chilling and gt good bud she is ok!!

And ya this forum is awesome i was kind of nervous at first to post seeing on other web sites how people could b so mean to new growers just asking questions. And its was awful and i felt bad to see a question gt turned into a full blown war on the web site

Yeah I totally get that. In that case if you really are tight it is ok to just go with bare basics. Maybe even rather get some calmag just in case if you get a defiency of that. DWCocha says it happens with LEDs often..

Hydro in general Med ... with no buffers like soil you have to add/give the girls everything they need .

Thank you again DWCocha you are the best! Damn that is good and valid thread about Ph. I want to just let you know that by helping me you help my wife to get better medication and more of it so she can take care of her pain. It is really appriciated.

You know what? That 6.0 during veg and then 5.8 in flowering makes a lot of sense to me. I am going to switch to flowering soon so I am gonna go all the way with that and hope I have you to thank for great results at the end.

Ok and thanks . Well this is the arsenal of nutrients i hv to use . But i think im gonna go with th GH nutes cause i dnt no if u can mix GH and fox farms together

This exert from Just 4 growers suggests this principle apply s to all or almost all DWC.

[h=3]Q: Are there any specific pH and EC / TDS requirements for DWC?[/h] A: The usual range (5.5 - 6.5) for pH is fine. 6.0-6.3 is optimal for vegetative growth, and 5.7-5.9 for flowering and fruiting. These specific veg and flower pH ranges will help to ensure that the minerals most needed for each development stage are most available.
Keep EC / TDS on the low side. Try half strength (based on the manufacturer's guidelines) first or even lower when plants are young. Lower EC can result in a higher intake of water into a plant's tissue which, in turn speeds plant metabolism and increases nutrient transport.

ok this a pic of the fast and vast at 11 days old she seems to b doing ok . But i thought it would b bigger by now . And this a pic of the whole tent . I gt a 10 pack of budda autoflower seeds on the way . My goal is to fit atleast 4 plants in all in the tent . What do u guys think .

The ph went from 5.9 to 6.2 but the ppm stayed the same at 320 ppm . So i justed phd it bk down to 5.8 and the ppm only went to 324 ppm so she is staying constant so far so this must mean she is happ right now
