If you look in sick plants section, i made a couple threads freaking out and they looked worse than yours tbh (simalarish issues), I recon its the soil being a bit too rich and ferty for them so young & they are more at risk to pests, heat stress and everything during the first stages just like most plants, just get them past this stage mate and i'm sure they will pick up and kick it in to high gear...

For next 2-4 days though keep an eye on it and post more pics if it develops further just to be on safe side.

Ahhh, thanks for directing me there!! Already think that I have found the cause of the yellow spots here https://www.autoflower.org/f90/[noob-help]-small-holes-new-leaves-22693.html..

I have defo been over-watering, maybe over nuting at such an early stage.. Infact, by trying to look after my plants too hard, I think I have hindered them... I check on them every bloody hour! LOL!

True newbie mistakes.. I suppose less is more for the first 3 weeks.. Just gotta let them be and get started... I know for next time bud!!

No probs, If its not too late which it probably is, you should add some pre washed perlite in to your soil making it 30-40%.
You will get much more rapid growth & drainage should improve but can see it would be a lot of effort & quite risky to get them out of the soil whilst your mixing the perlite in.

If you recon you can be gentle enough & not damage the plant/rootballs then do it, get a good 4 or 5 bags..like £25-£30
worth & mix it all in (after washing it)

That is what i have got.. It has two prongs... I put it in a pot of vinegar and it said that it was alkaline!!! Useless..

My plants are in the ground so perlite or holes in the bottom are a no-no..

I let the ground dry out and they look much greener/healthier already bar from one which has got worse



I am just going to water in small amounts more often if required and am going to stick to the "wait until the ground is dry"

There is slight nute burn on the tips of new growth so will just be watering for 4-6 days..

Already learning a lot ready for my next grow!!

Gonna get me a tent/led lights so i can grow over the winter

hi bud sry for the late checkupp. how deep does your soil go? or does it go straight into the ground? i`m no soil expert... but i can see the drainage thingi can come upp with some problems during the growth. looks like they`ve gotten alit better now tho bud nice job High 5 Leaving a karma clou

No prob and thanks for stopping by..

It goes all the way into the ground.. Prob half a meter..

Drainage could well be an issue and should have forseen it..

Would that cause the yellowing and dried tips?

I really would suggest removing the plants by digging deep under them carefully & adding perlite as drainage is quite clearly an issue and is highly likely for most if not all of your problems & the perlite would go a long way to curing this, yes it is a slight risk and could even take them 2-3 days to recover but then they will be far better off.

2-3 hours hard graft and small bit of risk for much improved drainage and yield.
With the heat you need to water quite a bit but this will prevent you from doing that, not good!

Also I don't know about Norfolk's weather but here it has been over 30c and your alot lot more south than I & they are in a green house, this shouts out to me possible heat stress which again in conjunction with the drainage issue would possibly cause yellowing/dead parts or stuff that looks like nute burn all to the untrained eye.

How good is the ventilation/air flow? If possible open any vents & stuff to max and ideally stick in a couple of fans via extension from nearest power source.


All that said, they look healthy on the whole & growing well so despite what you could/should do , probably no need to be too concerned & most of us do have our issues with outdoor plants at one point or another but most will make it to the end, just with a reduced yield/potency.

Up to you MGK but the extra effort & expense could go along way to solving the issues & improve yield tons.

Hey guys and gals!!

Sorry, it has been wayyyyyyy too long! Had some personal issues that needed tending to and posting updates was last on my list.

Here is an update!!! One of the plants really suffered due to the spray I used to kill the beasties and has many deformed leaves but new growth is now fine and starting to bud so all is good..

The lowryder plants are not typical and are massive!! One of the you grr Auto anaesthesia is booming and has outgrown all of the others and is just over a metre tall.. Here are some pics

The big ones are 34 days old and the smaller ones are 30 days old.

The tallest is 30 days old

Have done a little bit of leaf tucking to allow sunlight to break through to the lower bud sites..
