Hey guys. Can someone tell me what gone wrong with plant here? She been growing well in NFT until about 5 days ago when she turned into this!!!! This is the second time this has happened to me now so I’m close to getting shot of the tray system altogether. Simply ain’t having any luck with it!!!!

strain is BCN critical (photo), PH steady at 6, ec 1.3. Fourth week of flower. If someone could tell me what what wrong so I can avoid it again I would be very thankful, also if someone could give me a heads up to somewhat salvage I’ll be thankful for that too.

since noticing this I’ve emptied the res twice and filled up with AB, calmag, Pythoff and h202.

I need to see the plants in "day light 5000K" color. Turn off the grow lights.
H2o2 is killing off the beneficial microbes that protect the root system. I would use Botanicare HydroGuard and not Pythoff because I know it works.

You cannot use H2o2 in a "live" grow only in a sterile grow. I personally never had any luck in a sterile grow.

Ps can you get a picture of the roots?

Ah shit! I thought that but it doesn’t say so on the bottle. I’ve been going for sterile grow on this run. Do you think it’s the nites that killed her?

I can’t get a pic of the roots right now but they are a little brown but I’m 90% sure they’re just stained from the canna ab.

is hydrogaurd a potential fix for this?

Those roots appear to have a growth of some white goopy stuff that does not look normal to me? Your roots should look "clean" no slimmy stuff the color is not a problem.

I don't have any pictures from when I grew lettuce in NTF but they never looked like that? This is a pictuer of healthy roots in hydro.

Yes, I would flush well with PHed water then mix a new batch of nutrients with HydroGuard and hope you are not too late.

The white white is the spreader mat and bubbles. I think the camera has played a trick here. The texture isn’t slimy to the touch nor does it smell rotten. I’ve also had a case of flies in the res which have layed a plethora of larvae in the there . I should have pointed this out sooner but I’ve had them under control with the peroxide which has worked well in killing them back. I’m cautious to discontinuing this as I don’t won’t a re- infestation. Maybe this has been the cause but it’s strange that it’s only infected the one plant and the others at the moment are fine, albeit they’re much smaller in size.

Changing the reservoir weekly like you should will rid you of the flies.
