Big Sis Harvest Day 63 Week 9

Well it's over....Bug Sis was harvested this morning. 112g wet..that should give me at least 28g dry. I'm happy with the weight considering the small size of the Blue Mystic. All the bud sites were pretty heavy. Even the popcorn buds had some weight too. I normally leave my plants in a dark room for two days or three before I chop. I felt it was just a waste of time this time. All the fan leaves and most of the bud leaves were yellow. Used Muddy's Yellow Leaf theory on harvest. Muddy would be proud of this..she was YELLOW when chopped. Trichomes are cloudy with few amber.

Paper bag cure. Loosely covered large Trader Joe paper bag. The buds will be in the paper bag for four to seven days before going into cure jars. I have a RH meter in the bag and will monitor the dryness.

She has a very sweet smell. Sticky buds, bud not what I've read they'd be. The tri's are loaded on the bud sites. Very good trichome loaded buds.

Baby Blue is now under the 300w Dual Spectrum Super Box. She's a bit bushier than Big Sis. As of now there is NO sign of cal-mag defs. Going to start the FLOWER nutrients on the beginning of Week 6. She's still stretching and I've LST's all her side branches. She's in much better shape than her sister was at this stage. Happy with her grow and generally at this stage the def issues may start popping their ugly heads. On top of it.

Baby Blue Getting to be a Big Girl

Talk about day and night with strains. Baby Blue is just coming along very nicely. There is no sign of any issues as of now. I have been giving her a shot (1/2 tea of CaliMagic and 1 tea of Molasses) with every watering. Foliar fed her with Thrive Alive "Green" to give her some kelp fix. Since there is no visible issues and she's going into FLOWER I'll probably stop the Thrive Alive foliar feed.

She is nothing like her sister Big Sis. She's green, green and going along sweetly.

Note:

Day 21 of "IT" aka Nirvana Freebie Bean. She's been having issues with over watering, by not having enough drainage holes in the cheap plastic nursery container. I drilled holes in the side and bottom of the container this AM to improve air flow.

Bought Root Organics soil today. Going to use this for my nest grows. Any info on Roots Organic would be appreciated.

Hooked on Blue. Need to try Mephisto's The Blues next blues attack. Still have another Nirvana Blue Mystic bean to pop and I still don't know what "IT" will be. Maybe I should try a "What's "IT"?? thread. She looks sativa a little?

Put some Low Stress Training on Baby Blue today. She's going to be put on FLOWER nutrients soon and I need to tie her down before she gets fat. Good way to know if the plant stops stretching is to do a LST of the side branches. I check every day to see if I can pull down the side branches. When I get a feel of her slowing down in stretch then I'll attempt a LST.

All the side branches will have total light coverage now. Should increase the yield too.

Nirvana Blue Mystic Strain Differences

Big Sis at Day 37 from pop; going into her cal-mg slut phase.

Baby Blue Day 37 from pop; much greener and no sign of any issues.

Big Sis popped out from the soil and didn't stop until she was harvested. Super fast grow. Could be the reason for her cal-mag smuttiness. At Day 37 she was already well into FLOWER.

Baby Blue is the same age as Big Sis' picture. Much greener and slowly going into FLOWER. She's not going to be a 60 day wonder as Big Sis.

Last of the Nirvana Blue Mystic Beans

Just planted the last of the Nirvana Blue Mystic beans this AM. It's in a root plug that was soaked in Root 66 (pH'd 6.5). The soil is my new bag of Roots Organic and the watering of the soil was also pH'd at 6.5. I put the B/M bean in a red solo cup. Now it's a wait to see what pops.

Note:
The Nirvana Blue Mystic bean was the tiniest of the NB/M beans. Also there was no pre soak of the bean. Straight into the moist root plug and then into moist Roots Organic soil. Should pop within 5-7 days.

Also IT is coming along nicely. Had to drill holes into the plastic nursery container to get more drainage and air into the bottom of the soggy soil. Container getting lighter in feel. Will give IT a drink tomorrow. That would be 5 days between watering's. Still too early to see what sex IT will be.
