Grow Room Nirvana Blue Mystic Auto Fem

After giving the Blue Mystic her watering this AM. I Velcro nursery stripped her main cola just a little. Don't want to stress her out too much and will slowly bend her down to open the canopy.

Trying to keep her around 7" tall while she's growing. Then when she stretches into FLOWER the max will be 21". Just the right size for my Super Box.

Hi Baylee,

Glad everything is going to plan,

i have never heard this term before "Velcro nursery stripped her main cola "? you got time too explain it too me

Best Wishes,C

I always add the Boost first. Technaflora told me that the other ingredients in the RFS should "be added to water at the time of their use" I'm going to see if I can set up a little experiment to see if this is the case. I am very much an advocate of following directions but I think if I can combine all of the solutions I'll reduce the number of opportunities I have to F it up. I'm always concerned that I'll either miss one of the ingredients or mis-measure something.

Have you been charging up your res with nutes and adding plain water between res changes? Ksj turned me onto feeding a constant level of nutes to the plants. For example rather than filling the res with 1200 ppm solution during bloom and adding plain water until the next res change, on my last Sour Crack grow I fed the plants a constant 800 ppm during bloom. I grew over 7 oz from 4 plants. I have added a controller to my Superponics 8 so I charge that up with whatever strength feed is appropriate and dump the res once a week. Once I have found the correct feed level for a strain the pH maintains itself.

Edit: OOps I just realized you're growing in soil. Sorry for running on at the mouth about hydro.

I am excited to be following this grow! I have an auto blue mystic at day 25 today and can't wait to see what our girls do, especially how yours reacts to the lst as I have been thinking about it.

No problem. I still have the hydro set up that came with the Super Box. It's still in the original box and taking up space in my hall closet. I haven't had the time to learn "Hydro" growing and have been soil growing with the RFS schedule. Any info on Hydro is welcome.

I understand. Once I master hydro I'll try soil.:d5:

Velcro nursery strips is a roll of Velcro @ 1/2 inch wide. You can get them at any Ace Hardware or any fabric shop. Since I use Smart Pots it's perfect to use Velcro to attach to the pot. I fold the Velcro into a loop around the stem and then slowly bend the cola down. The Velcro attaches to the Smart Pot w/o tying. Then all I do is just un "zip" the Velcro strip and tighten the cola as needed. There is no unnecessary tying because the Velco loop can easily be un "zipped" and adjusted.

I'll have pictures soon.

I Velcro'd my Nirvana Swiss Cheese. It's posted on AFN "Photo" thread.

Blue Mystic Day 28, Week 4

Two photo shots of Blue Mystic. She's a little droopy because she was just watered after her WET/DRY cycle. She'll perk up within an hour. Nirvana's Blue Mystic is an Indica. She's not like any other Indica I've grown. Normally my Indicas have been short chunky plants. This Blue Mystic is lanky. She's 6" inches from the 300w Feliz Dual Spectrum and now 9" tall. I've seen other Blue Mystics and they look very similar to my little girl. The wooden stick is a measuring stick to give me an idea on how she's coming along. The stick goes right up to the bottom of the 300w cfl. Total measure of 14" with 4" from the bottom of the Super Box cabinet. I'll have a total of 18"-20" of final grow space. Took the LST off her for the time being. May have to bend the top cola as she stretches in the FLOWER stage.

Oh by the way..I started a Blue Mystic in a red Solo cup. She's peeping, but no pop yet. She should be popping up during today.
I watered the Solo cup until moist. Put the seed in the soil a knuckle deep w/o soaking or paper towel method. She took 4 days to peep.

What is the method of "Transplanting" the Solo Cup into the final Smart Pot? I've seen this method done on AFN grows and like to get some info on the "Transplanting".

Hi Baylea , congrats on the forthcoming new arrival, current lady is coming along nicely, i am guessing you started this one off in a cup for space issues? I have read a number of threads now that use this tier method but none spring to mind that i can point you too, i know Rebel uses this method a lot, but the ones i have book marked of his do not detail the process.
From what i have read they normally prepare the new pot as normal and scoop out a hole the width of the cup to a depth of about 2.5 to 3 inches in the recipient pot- then cut the base and side of the cup to about 1.5 inches exposing the roots but not disturbing the root ball and place in the ready prepared hole, gently firming and applying water to avoid air gaps. Advice would be make sure you water both pots i guess

Looking good BayLee!
