What's Happening?
This AM I checked my Big Sis and although she was yellowing up. She went yellow overnight. Looks like a Cal/Mag def.
I didn't flush her before going FLOWER. I flushed her this AM with recommended strength RfS with added Cal/Mag. Let's see what happens now.

Looks like calmag rust spots to me Bay.
The leaves are looking very pale too if the pictures are accurate - have you been feeding them up and is the soil PH in check (to make sure she can eat!)

The pH IN has been 6.4-6.6 and the pH OUT has been 6.6-6.8. I gave her a full strength of RfS three watering's ago. Technaflora recommends that for soil use do a Feed-Water-Water cycle. This schedule has been what I've done on all my grows. I haven't had an issue on any of my previous grows. I realize that each strain is different. The Niravana Northern Lights that I've done and the Mystic Blue is a N/L-Blueberry strain. So I've kept the same nutrient cycle.
Flushed her real good with RfS and I'll see how this works. The flush was 6.4-6.6 (IN) and the pH (OUT) was the same as what when in.

Still too early to see if the nutrient flush has done anything to get Big Sis' color back. I checked the moisture this AM and she's holding up. The three gallon flush packed the moisture in.
Following Grow Weed Easy guide to get her back to normal as stated in above post.
Just hope she'll put some weight and color back. She's going into her 2nd week of FLOWER. So imagine she'll have time to recoup.
Baby Blue is going to be the classic Indica shape. Funny how the same strain can be so different in shape.
I also started a Nirvana "Freebie" this AM. Put the bean into a small nursery pot and will be waiting for it to pop. That usually is within 5-7 days. The "Freebies" are not fem beans nor autoflower. Gonna be an interesting little grow.
Following Grow Weed Easy guide to get her back to normal as stated in above post.
Just hope she'll put some weight and color back. She's going into her 2nd week of FLOWER. So imagine she'll have time to recoup.

Cal-Mag Problem on the Mend
I watered my Big Sis today with 1 teaspoon Cali-Magic and 1 teaspoon molasses. The pH (IN) 6.5 and ph (OUT) 6.9. The other day I flushed her with three gallons of RfS to get her back to normal. She looks a bit better than the other day. Her green is coming back. The seriously effected leaves will not come back, but those that had a slight yellowing seem to be coming back.
This Blue Mystic was a super fast grower in VEG. She hit 1" of growth a day in her 3rd-4th week. Some research has stated that the Blue Mystic and the Blueberry strain in general is a.....well.....a......cal-mag whore. I'll have some before and after pictures later as the Cal-Mag def subsides.

Big Sis Cal-Mag Slut
Big Sis (Narvana Blue Mystic) is a Cal-Mag slut. Her very fast VEG growth and being in a one gallon Smart Pot may of been the cause for her need of more Cal-Mag supplement. She sucked all the cal-mag that she could then started to take it out of the leaves.
The good thing is that she has stopped yellowing and spotting. She's coming back to normal, but still a bit under the weather. I'll be supplementing her with CaliMagic on a regular watering until she comes back and then continue until harvest.
She's packing on a bit more weight now. Thanks to the cal-mag supplement she's now ready to go.
I'll have before and after pics later as she perks back up.

If she's a fast grower in VEG...their gonna slut out the cal-mag fast. There really isn't a problem giving a cal-mag supplement often. There isn't a cal-mag toxicity issue, but don't over do it. Keep the supplement to a minimum dose and all should be well.
Baby Blue is coming along sweetly too. I scratched 6 teaspoons of dolomite lime into her soil yesterday. If her big sister had a cal-mag issue then there is a good chance she will too. Baby Blue is more indica looking than sativa look of Big Sis.

Day 42 Week 6 Nirvana Blue Mystic Big Sis

Big Sis has improved since I started giving her CaliMagic suppliments. The yellowing and spotting has stopped. Her early yellow leaves have come back to a better shade of green. Big Sis is drinking 1/2 gallon of water/feed each day. The pH IN today was 6.4 and the run off was 6.7. She also is being watered every day now.
I lowered the feed to 2 teaspoons of Boost and 2 teaspoons Bloom and the rest of the RfS suppliments to a ratio of the Boost/Bloom. Now that she's being watered/feed every day I'm worried that the feed cycle may be a bit too much. Too much too soon. Any opinion on this?????? Please chime in AFN Blue Mystic growers.
