Grow Room Nirvana Blue Mystic Auto Fem

I just caught up on this thread. I really enjoyed it and the girls look awesome. It peaked my interest since I'l also growing a couple of Nirvana Blue Mystics. Your's are about 3 weeks older than mine. I saw that you removed your odor filter. How is the smell at it's current stage? I've read a bunch of stuff that claims that Blue Mystic is low odor. I'm definitely picking up a mild scent if I stick my nose in the exhaust, but I'm not at the flower stage yet.

The odor of the Blue Mystic is sweet and fruity. Very pleasant smell. No skunkiness. From what I've read about the Blue Mystic is that when cured will be 100x smelly. As of now very low odor coming from her.

The odor of her is similar to going to a fruit stand in the Summer and smelling the fresh fruit on display. Very, very pleasant.

When do we get pics??? :Sharing One:

There is a slight blueish green color on the sugar leaves. When I take a photo of them...they look GREEN. Maybe it's wishful thinking. I've seen photos of Blue Mystics that had a blueness of cotton candy. She's not at that stage in my case. There is a different look to the bud sites than any other grow I've finished.

One thing is that she is not going to give a heavy yield. She's six weeks from seed. Give and take she still has at least another three to six weeks before harvest. Most of my grows go beyond nine weeks before harvest. I hope she puts better weight on.

All my Blue Mystics have been very low scent from start to finish but once flowering there was a pleasant floral scent that if I didn't know there was weed growing I would not have associated w/ weed ... once cured my ABMs smelled like diesel ... I have a couple ABM buds left but they are in a jar w/ buds from AK48, NL, & SMR so it's hard to say what they smell like ... in my past grows Blue Mystic has seen the most swelling of the buds just before harvest ... often I'm 2 weeks out w/ ABM's and thinking I could have done better and then on harvest day I wonder where all the bud came from ... of course much of that swelling goes down when dried ... Picture's worth a thousand words ... and big pictures are worth a million ..

Chester is correct on the unique odor of the B/M. Not a "weed" smell. Smells like a fruit stand in the Summer. That's the only way to describe the smell. If there is a weed that DOSEN'T need an air scrubber filter, it's Blue Mystic.

Seven weeks from seed (3-4 week Auto VEG). She's really only into FLOWER a short time. Still has a ways to go...if she's on track, like other grows, she'll be ready after the 2nd week of April.

Photos soon.

I look forward to the fruity, floral smell...and of course the post drying activities.

I've done all I can. She's on Day 51 from seed. End of FLOWER yellowing up? She's has been a fast grower. Any thoughts out there..B/M growers?
She's got another two weeks from the way she's yellowing up. Still think she'll be ready to harvest in the 2nd week of April.

Another Pic of Big Sis

Dropped Big Sis from 300w Dual Spectrum CFL. She was getting a bit too warm. Did add 2x23w Red Spectrum spiral cfls to cover blind spots. The Super Box is getting too warm. Although I have her in the Den @ 70F.

Gotta be honest....I cannot wait until this grow is finished. Haven't had issues with any of my last grows and Big Sis has been the exception. This Blue Mystic grow was put together with "Leftover" soil (a mixture of Coco Loco and Happy Frog) and a recycled 1 gallon Smart Pot. I'am using a 300w D/S cfl that I seldom use. Surprised that she even got to this stage w/o more major issues. Never really got a handle on the cal-mag problem. She has been a sprinter from the start. Still have plenty of green on her and that's a good sign. This girl is going to be harvested in the 6-7 week of FLOWER. Total of 9-10 weeks from seed.

I would interpret the yellowing as need for more nutes and the buds don't look that close to being done ... nice looking plant ...

Giving her full strength of RfS every 3rd watering. Just as Technaflora recommends.

Recipe for Success: per Gallon
3 tea. BOOST
3 tea. BLOOM
1/2 tea. THRIVE ALIVE "GREEN"
1 tea. CaliMagic
1 tea. LIQUID KOOL BLOOM
2 tea. MOLASSES

Brown tips on fan leaves on top cola (post #97). Her next watering is a FEED tomorrow. Should I up the RfS by 25% or FEED every other watering? Any advise?

I started 3 Nirvana Blue Mystics myself at the same time you started these. Mine were above the soil on Feb 1st. Growing in 1 gallon pots with FFOF soil straight out of the bag. Each of the 3 is very distinct phenotype and now after the fact in doing some research I have seen a couple of posts around saying Nirvana has had problems keeping the BM stable. They all started out the same till about the Day 17 mark at which one plant shot out her first pistols! 1 more a couple of days later and the last one was maybe at Day 22. At this point they started taking different roads. The first flowering plant did a small stretch at topped out at around 15" tall, the second plant has stayed about a foot tall while the third is over 20" tall. I have fought what I believe is a cal/mag problem the whole grow with all 3 plants. Going by the trichromes I took the first plant down on Day 51 yield was 100grams wet. The next plant is no where near ready, she is really packing on the weight and for being the smallest of the 3 plants she is already ahead of the one I already chopped on yield I believe. She looks just like the one in your picture from today. The last plant which is the tallest plant is going to finish very well I believe. But she is so far behind at the same time. She has 12 colas that are going to fill out very nice...but I am just waiting on her to real start filling out. She is also the only one with a lot of purple developing in her buds. I will say the smell from the first plant is crazy good...very heavy berry smell. The other 2 have not really started to smell yet. For what its worth these have been the first time I have worked with auto flowering plants.

Good luck with the rest of your grow.
